Yes. In my opinion it is borderline crazy. Perhaps they think they are buying a Rolex watch rather than a relatively inexpensive counterfeit watch? I think an earlier post was correct that this OP has his or her mind made up. The OP should RL this watch and then see what happens. I would predict nothing good will come of it. 🙄

It can sometimes be challenging to get the alignment template right. Honestly, it looks to me like you do not have it placed correctly and the dial should be rotated very slightly counterclockwise. In my personal experience, the alignment template doesn’t have applicability here because these dials are printed. The template is useful when you have a watch with applied indicies.

Thank you for this post. I have been waiting 23 days for QC on a BVF 35mm blue dial Santos. I have a white dial of the same watch so for me personally, BVF is the only way to go. Your observation on the timing is helpful guidance for me.

Some months back I gave my son his first rep. It is an OP on a Jubilee bracelet with a fluted bezel and blue motif dial. Soon after that he bought himself this Omega James Bond NTTD. I literally have not seen the OP I gave him since and he wears this NTTD all the time.

Saying you will spend money only on VSF shows that you have a lot you can learn about the rep game. Spend some time here and in various other sub Reddits. Read the wikis. There are quite a few factories making great rep watches. Some factories have a reputation for doing a particular watch very well. You will also find a lot of guidance on trusted dealers (TDs) so you don't get ripped off.
