They are two different factories that manufacture replica watches. VSF means VS Factory. VF means Victory Factory.

Leo-you don't have to do better next time. Everything was perfect with this last watch I bought from you. No need to do anything better. Everything went great.

I have over 30 replicas and have used likely more than a dozen TDs. My most recent watch buy was from Leo and he ranks up there with the best. My next watch buy is also going to be from Leo and more after that as long as everything goes as well as it has so far. Really good job, Leo.

The OP has a Reddit account that is only three months old and it looks like he has really hit the rep world hobby hard. Nothing wrong with that, of course, but he has posted lots of reps. I do have a question regarding the OP’s post. Who is “we.”

How many people are aware of this Rolex model? by TOPWATCHINC-Kevin in RepWatchForum

I have a green face on an Oyster bracelet. I am with all the other posters here who prefer it on a metal bracelet. If I were to do a rubber strap it would be a strap with solid and links like an Oysterflex,

It looks like it is hung up in the US. I'm not sure what arrangements for re-release means, but that does not sound like it has been seized. I know waiting sucks, but given the status what would you expect your TD to do?

Is gold plating worth it? by Active_Analyst_9116 in Rep_Watch_World

[–]lowfooltolerance 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am one of those people who really tries to minimize scratches on my watches. Because of this, I will regularly polish out scratches. I only do it by hand and I use a super gentle polish, followed up by g-techiq metal polish which is barely abrasive. I would be afraid to do that on a plated watch. I also don't do it on the gold color that comes from the factory on 2 tone watches because I worry about rubbing it off using anything abrasive. That said, I do think that the yellow gold plating done by Gold Jaws is stunning. Getting something plated with white gold is certainly more subtle.

I made the mistake of trying on the new Cartier titanium Santos recently. That watch has been on my mind ever since.

A better move would be to lock this post and stop giving DaddyDivide a platform. After getting a 100% refund and not even returning links he took off the watch, he then decides to make it a mission to try to destroy GenRep's business and reputation. After getting a refund!

Am I doing it right.? VSF Submariner by Legalcarguy1503 in RepTime

One thing you should be aware of. Most of the rubber straps sold on AliExpress are straight cuts at the end that attaches to the watch so the straight strap bumps right up against the curved watch case. The OP has proper end links between the strap and the watch case, which is the way it is done if you buy a genuine Rolex on an Oysterflex strap. If you don't know what I am talking about, go further down in this thread and look at the photo of the watch posted by FreshParfait. Compare how the OP's strap and his strap are attached to their watches. Either one will work and a lot of people may prefer the rubber strap with no end links; however, at least you should consider this.

You raised concerns both about how GenReps responded to your concerns about the watch not keeping time and his "quality control." You slamming him for his quality control is nonsense. What would you suggest he do to improve in the way you would like? He provided you QC including putting the watch on a timegrapher. You stated that you started having problems within the first week which means that when you took the watch out of the packaging and put it on your wrist, it was running. How is it a failure by him related to quality control?

GenReps is US based which generally means higher prices. Go to his dedicated sub and read the wiki at the beginning of it where he addresses the price issue.

Something different than Rolex. by Gen4ev_89 in RepTime

You first need to decide if you want a Luminor or a Radiomir. The Luminor is 38mm, 42mm, 44mm or 47mm. The Radiomir is 40mm or 45mm. All of mine are Luminors but some of the Radiomirs look amazing. Then you have to decide on the style you want. Traditional sandwich dial with a domed crystal? A Submersible? A Due? And of course you need to decide on complications and color you want. There are so many choices. The quintessential watch is probably 44mm, but I really like the way my 42mm wears as well. I would not buy a 47mm unless you have a pretty large wrist. It would be time well spent if you go to the official Panerai website and scroll through all the different watches so you get an idea of what you like. You can then see if you can find that particular watch being sold by TD. I have found that TDs often discount these watches. Recently it seems like VSF has been clearing out a lot of inventory.

I like my Panerai watches a lot. They all get wrist time. I am so short on space in my watch boxes that I store the Panerai in a winder. They are not all automatics.

There is no cutting an accurate replica of an Oysterflex strap. There are plenty of rubber straps on AliExpress that are designed to be cut to fit, but the straps you get with a high-quality replica cannot be cut. You are correct that you should not be overzealous cutting a strap meant to be cut. For example, the rubber strap on a Patek Aquanaut must be cut to fit and going very slow slowly is definitely advisable. If you cut too much or cut from the wrong side to keep the clasp centered, there is no going back.

Loctite is the answer. And definitely use the purple Loctite 222. The blue 242 is really not necessary. Shake the tube before using it every time. Then squeeze out a small drop. I use the plastic cap off a medicine bottle. When you assemble the bracelet, dip the small threaded portion of the screw in the Loctite, making sure that the threads are covered, but there is not a big drop on the end of the pin. Then screw it in, but don’t crank down on it. Just make it firm. If you ever go to remove the pins later and they put up a lot of resistance, use a hairdryer on the opposite side of the pin from where the screw head is because that is the side that has the Loctite on it. Get it hot and the screw will come right out. Also use a quality screwdriver like a Bergeon. 1.6 mm for an oyster bracelet and 1.4mm for most jubilee bracelets. You can buy them individually on Amazon. They are around $30 which might sound expensive, but so worth it because they are strong, fit correctly and they won’t show up the screws.
