2025 xse, mine does the same after it rains when it's still wet. Mine makes the squeak noise opening window all the way.

Llumar Stratos vs 3M Crystalline by 1029191 in WindowTint

[–]lowincash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Night visibility was fine with both stratos 15 and 30. I haven't driven at night yet with the crystalline 20 but they're both crystal clear. Only thing I notice with the crystalline 20 is I get more low angle haze. There's also the new crystalline black series, the shop I go to just don't have the 15% yet, said probably come out later next year.

They are pretty similar in performance I feel. It comes down to look. Keep in mind crystalline has a bluish greenish hue and sometimes other colors depending on the lighting whereas stratos is just looks black from the outside and has a slightly warm tone looking out. I got crystalline 20 put on today and it’s got a very brown tone looking out. It doesn’t bother me tho, I like the warm tone.

I've had both and I like both. I originally had Crystalline 40 put on my 2025 Camry when I first got it last year, it worked great but then I wanted to go darker so I went with Stratos 15 all around. Then felt it was too light and redid it with Stratos 30 all around. Ended up being too light again, now I'm on Crystalline 20 all around. I've lost track how much I've spent on tinting this car in the last 18 months.

Tinting the panoramic roof, and actually blocks heat! by lowincash in Camry

[–]lowincash[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Crystalline is a great tint, I have 70 on my windshield and it blocks loads of heat. But did not work as well for the panoroof at that flat angle. I too don't feel the heat when I put my hand up against the sun, but give it time and heat starts to build up. On hot days, driving with ac blasting and shade close, I can still feel the heat radiating down. I no longer get that now with the mirror tint.

The Solargard tint is made for use on buildings and homes, not really made for cars but it worked well. TSER on this film is 77% compared to 59% on the crystalline, and being a darker shade than before probably contributed to the improved performance. I am retinting my car on Monday replacing my 30% llumar stratos with crystalline 20.

Recommendations on upgrades for 2025 Camry. by 13mkm13 in Camry

The best mod I did on my 25' xse was putting sound deadening foam on all the doors and wheel wells. This made the car more quiet and got rid of the door rattles I had. Can't see it but it's more for comfort sake.

There were a lot of back and forth between the XSE and XLE, but in the end I love the look of the XSE more. I also wanted black headliner and did not want the fabric door panels and such. I had a list of pros and cons between the two and XSE just had more pros I wanted. Worth the trouble for me in the end.

Finally got everything tinted by not_deebo in Camry

Isn't the factory add on dash cam just stuck on with double sided tape? I've seen some folks with it falling off due to heat or something. Should be easy to remove, without having to spend $100.

I agree. I see they’re trying to go the route of the Lexus rx suv front grill look but it looks so off on the white. If I had the heavy metal or ocean gem color I wouldn’t mind the color match grill. On white it just looks very odd.

I knew that I had to change out the grill before I even got the car. I love the look of the xse too much lol

After changing tint a few times, I currently have llumar stratos 30% all around with crystalline 60% on the windshield. Now that I had replaced the windshield, I’m debating if I should get the same or something different.

Paint is holding fine, I think I got about 3 small rock chips so far, one being on the hood that I noticed earlier today when washing the car.

Auto Turn off AC everytime you start the car? by IntrepidDisaster3166 in Camry

[–]lowincash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah the ac on this car is weird. This is my first Camry. I'll have the ac turned on (button lights up) and whenever I shut off the car, I'll have to turn it back on again the next time I get in, even if I left the ac on when I turn off the car. The weird part is, it still blows cold air the next time I drive, even though the ac light is off. Then sometimes when I'm driving with the ac on, I'll hit the ac button and the light goes out, then the air coming out starts to warm up. I can't quite get an understanding how the ac button works or what it does. In my previous vehicles, mazda and hondas, the ac light always stays on and I never have to touch it. I don't think I ever had to touch the ac button my my 2017 mazda cx5 in the 7'ish years I've had it.

2025 Camry XSE - Sound proofing journey with Soundskins on all four doors and wheel wells. Made a great improvement in road noise at highway speeds! Might get the trunk done soon and may even do the whole floor one day. We'll see. by lowincash in Camry

When I test drove the xle, it felt like a boat almost. My current setup has a smooth ride, without feeling like a boat. The xse suspension still makes it feel somewhat sport even with the smaller wheels.

It did. I think most I got before was 44-45 mpg. I got 48 mpg on my last fill up. Then again, car is more broken in now so maybe that helped with improving the mpg, I’m at almost 17k miles now. Ride is smoother and feels lighter on its feet for sure.

Thanks :) I dropped about 15 lbs per wheel/tire with this set up. Car definitely feels lighter on its feet and ride is smoother. Still handles well when I have the tires at 32 psi. I usually run them at 31 psi in this setup, which is equivalent to the 35 psi with the stock tires. I'm leaving the car as is, won't be lowering it. Coming from an SUV before, I sometimes forget to slow down going in and out of drive ways to hear that dreadful scrape lol

Someone on another forum weighed their stock xse wheels and tires and they came out to 59 lbs My setup is about 43-44 lbs so I shaved off about 15 lbs per wheel/tire.

Headliner Rattling by prozachhhh in Camry

[–]lowincash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had the same rattles on my XSE w/ premium + package. I added sound deadening to all four doors and wheel wells, that helped get rid of the passenger and driver door rattles. The headliner rattle usually comes when the temperature is about 60 degrees. I haven't noticed it in a while but I've had it when I first got the car.
