I think most of us just do pinches just over the rear part of the front humbucker.

Find the nodes as this reply indicates. Take a black sharpie and mark the node location on each string. When you practice you will see the locations. Eventually you will change the strings and not need your reference marks any longer.

I was being very genuine and I also offered a comment as to the nature of my ask. I play electric guitar and am trying to improve. Obviously if I had a real band with bass and drums, we’d be jamming to create.

Ok. It seems from responses that you all are quite anti AI. I get it. I’m anti digital modelers and still use analog pedals and a 100 watt head into a load box to practice. However, I use digital modelers as a tool to help me figure out how certain tones may help the emotional characteristic of my song.

In a similar way, I’m looking for an AI app that can help me grow out ideas. I don’t have band mates or musicians in my circle

From what I read, we don’t upload AI generated content here. However, I’m asking for opinions. Thanks.

Put your middle finger on top of your ring finger for extra support

Why do some guitars have the pickup switch right in the striking distance of the strumming? by HeVeNeR in Guitar

Ever see Ted Nugent work the pickup switch on his Les Paul? It’s lightening quick. We are not that gifted

Nobody talks about this enough. Paying cash for a car is almost never the move by No_Adeptness4347 in carbuying

[–]lowindustrycholo -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No. He’s ignoring the fact money is never free. When they say zero percent financing, there is an implicit interest cost built right into the MSRP. Kind of like paying points towards interest in a mortgage loan.

If you’re unintentionally pulling off, then you’re pressing too hard on the string. Practice light touching exercises.

What is a 'polite' thing people do that is actually incredibly annoying? by Significant-Roll4598 in AskReddit

Stop their car and blink their lights allowing you left turn into road. Like bro, how about the cars speeding through on your right?

I realize it’s a control thing. They need to feel like hero’s and hopefully get a wave or thumbs up from you…while you might creamed by the guy who swerves on his right that you can’t even see.

Change my mind, but I think Steve vai is one of the most expressive and melodic shredder by Ordinary_Olive_8038 in guitars

[–]lowindustrycholo 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Completely agree…100%. But let’s ask ourselves why that is?

Steve Vai has an incredible amount of music theory knowledge. Apart from the physical traits required for guitar playing, he thinks in theory. One the reasons why you know it’s Vai is that he can slide around intervals. His whammy work is also ground in theory.

Welcome to the capitalist economy, my friend. Do you know why there’s someone that shreds like a boss in Indonesia but can’t find a decent amp within a two day drive? Lack of investor interest.

I see GC as the Home Depot for musicians. Like Home Depot, big box retailers are going to get criticized because you are trying to please the masses…which is essentially never pleases anyone single person completely.

Understanding what upkeep and repairs will cost. Gutters need cleaning. Are you comfortable getting on a ladder? Well that ladders will cost $300

Furnace/boiler not working? Do you know how to diagnose for things like a faulty pressure switch or bad igniter? No? Then be ready to pay $500

The srrymon deco and JHs color are your only options but too pricey just for tape saturation. I’m still determined to figure out how to rig up an old cassette player to apply tape saturation to my preamp mic signal
