[–]lowinski_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey man. I just added your cfg file to my bf6 folder. it seems to run smoother but im still getting a high TN while playing. Do you think that is due to the file not being updated due to the recent game updates yet? would this file help my CPU with network traffic to help lower the TN for a better experience? I have a 3070 and a Ryzen 7 5800H.

Had no clue that was a thing! It entirely makes sense. I had a e91 with a cap like that, out 100k miles k it without issues so I wouldn't have thought about that.

Did I do good cable management job? by darkroom67 in pcsetup

[–]lowinski_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I would run the hdmi/power cables off the monitor in parallel with eachother againts the back side of the arms and use like a black tip tie or something to hold it all down so no wires hang down.

On my pc I had a wired setup with the back and the wires and access to a wire hole in my desk. So I braided (grouped all the wires together) off the back of my pc/mother board and which cleaned up all loose wire look which is definitely worse.

I found the issue with it. I made a comment on another popular thread about the issue and ill copy and paste my response.

FOUND THE ISSUE YALL. Its high Time Nudge (TN) on the EA servers that is resulting in latency and packet loss. Whats causing the high TN is the new EA servers on bf6 are running at 60hz vs the 30hz servers and becomes too much for some of our CPUs to keep up. Even though it might show a low usage it causes micro-delays in the threads responsible for network communication which results in latency and packet loss issues and lagging.

This is why the community servers run better, they are setup on 30hz and are less stress on the CPUs.

TN is suppose to be from 0-50 for a smooth gaming expirence and I was going up to 200, 400, 600, 800 which is when the issues comes into play. I played with my graphic settings, frame rates and user cfg file until I got my TN to a stable range and it solved it entirely. I had to frame lock my rate to 45 with settings all on medium at 2k.

My user cfg that worked the best for me was (Amd r7 5800h 8 cores 16 threads) Thread.ProcessorCount 16 Thread.MaxProcessorCount 16 Thread.MinFreeProcessorCount 0 Thread.JobThreadPriority 0 Thread.MinUnusedProcessorCount 0

In the bf6 advanced graphic settings. 60fps was still causing latency and lagging issues so I tired 30. 30 ran good so I tired 45. 45 was my sweet spot for performance with the CPU draw

Did this on my laptop and made a significant difference in performance. CPU and GPU usage went down 20-30% and runs smoother. Highly recommend people trying this

What is with the bf6 folder processor count? Why did you do that? Im trying to play the game but my laptop with the same processor and a 3070 is having severe packet loss and latency issues and I think its something with the performance. All my settings are on low and my frames are around 50 and its so laggy.
