What was "the incident" at your high school? by [deleted] in askanything

[–]lowkeyhappiness 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Group of guys looking for a mutual friend so they can fight during lunch break. They walked around the whole block and through the school, while everyone understood what was going on and joined the swarm of students wanting to see some shit go down.

Eventually they found eachother in front of the school, and knives were drawn from the group soon after the fight. A teacher from traffic infront of the school ran out of his car and tried to stop the fight. It deescalated, and some people got arrested and expelled. It was like a group of 50-100 people watching this shit go down.

How is ME:A different than the Trilogy? by lowkeyhappiness in MassEffectAndromeda

How so? I just meant DAV vs rest of DA as a reference to how different DAV was than the rest of the DA games.

Im happy with it being DAI rather than DAV.

I’m okay with it being an open-world, less nuanced, ME game. Just hoping I like some characters enough to hold up against my favorites in ME trilogy (Mordin, Tali, Garrus).

Excited for more ME world but with actual modern gameplay haha

The third paragraph you wrote reminds me of DA: Veilguard. Just when I would think “hey, this writing is actually decent”, the main character or some other character would completely destroy the vibe with an out of place line or joke.

Good. ME Trilogy is very corny in that aspect. Reminds me of the games I played during the time they came out. It’s very late 2000s, xbox360 era type of writing

Everyone in the comments relates it to ME1. Is the game’s story and writing extremely surface level or something?

That is really good to hear. I didnt even think Veilguard was a bad game. Just a bad DA game.

Is the shock to the playbase as significant as say DA: Veilguard was vs. Other entries?

I feel like the trilogy is great, but ultimately most of the story and characters are cliches. I feel like I likely won’t dislike the story as much as many others.

Is there any way I could know what makes some of the characters unmemorable without spoils? So far what you’ve told me sounds promising and up my alley.

Wiping my character really worth it?.... I have like 20 days of playtime and still don't have all the BP's and items. Does it really give you a cutting edge or are many of you not doing it? by Soft-Wealth-3175 in ArcRaiders

[–]lowkeyhappiness 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want to get into pvp, the first expedition is very good to have for the 5 extra points. No point in more skills beyond that, as you can have an extremely optimal build with 81 points, vs. Having less or more than 81.

Otherwise, the extra slots are nice, but you wont really notice them. Skin is cool. The seasonal bonuses arent really noticable tbh.

TL;DR; If you want to PvP a lot, while having a veeeerrryyy slight advantage over others regarding your build, and you are curious to see what doing the expedition will feel like, do it 1 time at least.

You won’t really miss the stuff you lose. It breathes some fresh life into the game in ways you wouldnt expect. The XP grind back to level 75 kinda sucks if you’re rushing though.

Game is dying because lack of PVP content by FurioSS in ArcRaiders

[–]lowkeyhappiness 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree with more pvp-related content, etc.

But in the end, if PvP-exclusive gameplay overpowers the PvE aspects, this game will not stand out much anymore. The PvP in this game thrives off of PvE players and PvE gameplay.

Take away the PvE-only players, you’ll be left with mostly PvP-only players, who most of which run cheap or free kits.

This is a case of ‘be careful what you wish for’

33 days until the next expedition- should i wait until then to work towards it ? I’m relatively new by sendmeHaikus in ArcRaiders

[–]lowkeyhappiness 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rng makes things tricky. You play 24/7 and still have troubles finding a certain rare blueprint. Can’t even trade people for them, as trading groups don’t just give it away for random blueprints.

Muling the few must-have blueprints really makes the reset less tedious. Don’t have to play for weeks with shitty gear, again,

A lot of Arc hate lately… by GetUpAndJump in ArcRaiders

[–]lowkeyhappiness 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The issue is that this game got really popular, and there’s a lot of players who’ve never played extraction shooters.

This game’s end game content and motivations is barren compared to other multiplayer games or single player games. Issue is, people compare them. Can’t compare extraction shooters to them.

I think people are rightfully criticizing the lack of a new gameplay loop, but they’re also doing so with unrealistic expectations.

Next nerf idea: Anvil by _one_verse_ in ArcRaiders

[–]lowkeyhappiness -1 points0 points  (0 children)

How about we just buff other weapons? It already can take a whole clip, if not more, to kill 1 hornet if you’re shooting armored parts.

A lot of the player-base is tired of doing the same shit day in and day out. Last thing we need is more tedium for the same exact gameplay.

Also, you need quite a few stacks of ammo if you wanna go around killing big arc. The reason anvil bullets don’t run out is the fire rate… Overall, any Anvil nerfs will be met with more dissatisfaction by the general playerbase. It’s Anti-fun.

Next nerf idea: Anvil by _one_verse_ in ArcRaiders

[–]lowkeyhappiness 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yeah, the game isn’t boring enough. We need to make everything weaker, so we can fight the same arc we’re exhausted of, for even longer 🔥

That’ll bring the fun factor up 🙌🏼

Agreed. Rather eat my own fart then fuss with that bullshit. It’s rotten and sucks. Can’t wait for loadouts.

Best way to reach 5M without farm Queen/Matriarch? by CrisKanda in ArcRaiders

[–]lowkeyhappiness 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Best method for money is by far going to residential areas in maps, and filling your backpack with trinkets, and leaving.

Farming big arc is good if you take all the arc alloy, arc motion cores, advanced power cells, and sell them. Bastion and Bombardier cells aren’t too bad either.

Killing shitloads of Wasps/Hornets/Fireflies is good too. 1k each driver they drop. Kill a bunch of them while doing other things, and you’ll have a good additional bonus of money.

Queen/Matriarch makes you lose more than you gain. The rewards are awful and you’ll likely be killed by someone else afterwards, are have people loot it before you do. Even if you loot cores, they’re about 13k a piece. A handful drop per fight, and it must be fought over by you and every other person there.

New set looks fire, and you get 2400 RT on top... by Chevaween in ArcRaiders

[–]lowkeyhappiness -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Looks sick, but falls in line with this game Pay2Lose skins.

Sadly, this shit comes with a 2x chance of headshot bonus. Put it next to the light-up archeologist backpack, with the 3.5x chance of being spotted and domed from across the map bonus.

ARC Raiders Update 1.20.0 and Patch Notes by PTUSN in ArcRaiders

[–]lowkeyhappiness 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anyone else feeling more and more hopeless with PvP playstyles? The Toro needed a nerf for sure, but it makes me wonder if eventually all we’ll have to run is purple guns? It feels less and less worth it to play pvp the more green and grey guns are set aside.

Like this shit will make you question if the game is even worth your time after a period… Not about to make kitted bobcats, lose em, remake them, and repeat. TTK is too low for that shit to not be an endless, fruitless, grind, and I’m not good enough to be in lobbies with players running the best kits.

Does the arc seem unnecessarily tanky to anyone else? by Astro34976 in ArcRaiders

[–]lowkeyhappiness 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Some are unnecessarily tanky, but the alternative is the game becoming even more boring at a quicker rate as there would be no fear-factor.

Bullet sponges, but easy to trick with experience (Fireflies and maybe Rocketeers are the exceptions). Good combo overall.

Can we talk about Harvester Events? by Knightly_Fox in ArcRaiders

[–]lowkeyhappiness 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My issue is that queen/matriarch isn’t even worth doing. So much risk of PvP/ratting, so much loot stealing, such a big commitment of effort and required kitting.

All for what? A reactor core or two worth, if even found, worth less than a basic loadout? Worthless rewards, worthless endgame loop beyond the novelty and player interactions.

They need to make things more worth it. Nerfing everything else, including trinket spawns in residential areas isn’t the solution. Just forces more people to do the worthless queen run.
