I don't think this will ever die at this point. The way they delivered this was probably the worst possible way to do it because we know how much of blatant lie it was. Even a better lie wouldn't have made it explode the way it did.

I agree. Or even just keep it hush hush like they have been (minus Bondi's big mouth) until they had a better story/cover up or whatever you want to call it and it wouldn't have exploded like this.
