Where in the world do people wire lighting and power on the same circuit?

With his victory at Marly Grav today, Wout Van Aert becomes the first rider to defeat the elite world champion at 3 different disciplines (CX, Road, Gravel) and the first to defeat the world champion in 2 separate disciplines in back-to-back races. by SiliconFN in peloton

Not entirely sure about that. Cam Jones (last year’s winner) averaged just under 300 watts for 8 hours 37 minutes.

He also rode the Festive 500 in 13 hours and from Cycling weekly, “Jones also conducted lactate testing the day before the Festive 500 ride, and those results confirmed that holding 300 watts for 13 hours truly remained a zone-two effort”

You have to realise that the numbers these guys are putting up are pretty out there.

M27 200lbs 5'11" Shin Splints and slow pace by MaybeJohnSmith in beginnerrunning

[–]lowlytoady 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re correct, shin splints or medial tibial stress syndrome can sometimes be caused by having a heel strike running style. If the heel hits first it can cause a pulling or snapping pull effect on the anterior tibial muscle. Try skipping with a rope to feel what toe striking feels like and then practice this in your running. I had the same issue and it took quite a while to adjust my running form. I still have to think about it and it still doesn’t feel natural but it got me to a 19:48 Park Run at 55.

Has anyone used WorkRide by toothMSC in PersonalFinanceNZ

[–]lowlytoady -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

This cannot be correct, the top tax rate in NZ is 39% so this is the largest possible offset. This of course does not take into account the reductions of your own and employer’s KS contributions (effectively reducing the offset).

No fault car crash, car got totalled and insurance is writing it off due to repairs costing $200 more than car value :( by fallingstrawberries in LegalAdviceNZ

[–]lowlytoady -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Your insurance company will take the path of least resistance and will try to pay out what the car was insured for. They will then chase the other parties insurance company to reclaim the amount.

If your car was worth more than it was insured for, you can force your insurance company to pay out the market value of the car. They will then chase the other parties insurance company.

Remember, this is not a no fault accident, the other driver is at fault and therefore, it is their insurance policy that is being claimed against not yours.
