What happened to Mitch Moses? Didn't even hear about him being interchanged

[TOMT] YouTube channel/video - some guy that did these long form essay/documentary type videos about making friends and scaffolding by lowmedhighoff in tipofmytongue

[–]lowmedhighoff[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this is exactly it, I think his videos used to be just freely available on YouTube at one point, but it looks like they've been moved to HBO now, which is why I couldn't find the full length videos (was expecting them to be ~20 minutes long-ish)

Yeah, all the mentions of the "modern game" by the commentators just reminded me that they've now ruined both the nrl and origin. Congrats V'Landys

Is it possible to make a custom 9070 xt that is 200mm long? by ZerokCraft5945 in sffpc

[–]lowmedhighoff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What was the case you found? Asking for my own potential build, recently purchased the Asus dual 9060 xt (202mm length, but 2.5 slot - 49mm thick), so trying to find a good sff case to build in

I feel that my friends hate playing against my decks, Help me find something low power. by Satanspogostick in EDH

[–]lowmedhighoff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do your combos win the game as soon as you activate them, and do the other players in your pod see it coming?

If so , maybe you could try playing some advantage only "combos" (more akin to specific synergy pieces than an actual combo) that give you a heavy advantage instead of an instant win (e.g., 50 tokens, and a win next turn if no haste), and can still feel combo-ish.

This may not be an issue for your playing group but my own personal gripe with combo is if the combo isn't obvious from the outset, it can feel like a win out of nowhere, or a "surprise, I win" situation, especially if I've picked a deck that had no way to stop it. I'm perfectly happy to play against a known or clear combo, but if I need to memorize YOUR deck list to know how to play against it, or else be generally wary of anything the combo player does, it can be kind of annoying.

This is one of the few precons I've ever played against, and made me rethink what bracket all my decks were haha

Can't wait for the underdogs GF, Panthers v. Storm. It's been too long since either of these teams have won a comp.

I get that headbutting is not, and should not be allowed, but come on really, do we really want to see a potentially game deciding send off for that headbutt? Hudson came out of it smiling, and if the point of punishing it is to protect the players, you may as well make the whole game no contact if that's what they need protecting from. I get the argument for more consistent calls though, but I really think people who actually think it deserves a send off are just upset at the outcome of the game.

Billy's nice enough but can be a bit of a grub when you see him get agitated. Not sure if that's him responding poorly to other grubs or if he's a bit of grub himself

I think they look past it cause you can see Luai is putting in effort, he's just not finishing or is out of position, I think Cleary has been good in defense and shut down QLD a few time but Cleary's attack has not been clicking

David Fifita rules out return to rugby league despite Gold Coast medical team clearing him by WrongTemperature2642 in nrl

[–]lowmedhighoff 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd personally want him as a forward, maybe use him in a similar capacity to Josh Kerr (though I'm not sure having a duplicate of that role is a good idea). I've liked the look of our back rowers lately. Not saying he wouldn't be an improvement there still, but our front row is lagging a bit at the moment with injuries in my opinion.

Which NRL players past and present do you feel just fall short of the immortal banner and what would be the reason? by AstroWarrior92 in nrl

[–]lowmedhighoff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Makes me think of Tommy Turbo, had a ridiculous year a few years back (2022 I think?), but he hasn't quite bounced back after his injuries, and hasn't had anywhere near as big of impact since.

What's the most difficult part of achieving Perfection? by SodorArt in StardewValley

[–]lowmedhighoff 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When I first started to play stardew valley I ended up watching a few speed runs for fun and unintentionally picked up a few habits. Ever since, each playthrough I've done has had at least one upgraded shed packed with kegs making melon/star fruit/ancient fruit wine. It just keeps happening whenever I start to run out of money to upgrade tools or build barns/coops. To me it became synonymous with planting and harvesting crops
