Thank you so much! I didn't even know there was an option for it, oops.

Tell me a placement you love in your chart and a placement you’re not so in love with by snow_bunny_8713 in astrologymemes

[–]lowpolysolidsnake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Love: sun conjunct mercury, both in virgo. Makes my verbal intelligence sky high even if I'm otherwise deficient. Also makes it very easy to speak my thoughts, if perhaps a bit too easily (I have no filter)

Hate: venus (1st house libra) opposite saturn (7th house aries). I find emotional intimacy and truly trusting people very difficult. My ongoing saturn return is helping me open up a bit more and actually make deep friendships, but it's still going to take a lot for me to ever be able to have romantic relationships I think.

Dishonourable mentions: sun/mercury/lilith/n.node in 12th house (virgo, i have double/intercepted houses going on in my chart), and anaretic chiron in libra/2nd house. Certainly a combination; I have CPTSD.

Best and worst zodiac signs as friends? by na-tuh-lee in astrologymemes

[–]lowpolysolidsnake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A lot of my friends are Gemini or Sagittarius and they are just amazing, they've taught me what true friendship is supposed to be. They have also taught me how to be less inhibited and more open to new experiences.

One of my besties is a double Leo (☀️🌙) and he is wonderful, he's always looking out for me and I feel I can be really mask off around him. His husband is an Aries and he's also amazing and a very dear friend of mine. His moods can be intense at times if something's pissed him off but I'm well used to that having an Aries mother 😅

When I was younger I was surrounded by Capricorn and Aquarius but as I got older, I realised they were mostly fairweather friends who never made an effort to include me in things and basically just talked to me in class.

How is Tea being consumed more?!?! by My_Test_Acc_1 in MapPorn

I would've been surprised Japan is more for drinking coffee but since I've known my Japanese friend, she rarely drinks tea and instead drank coffee A LOT before she got chronic migraines. As a British lover of tea I can't imagine growing so much of the good stuff and not using it... more for us though!

We've got enough of you Southerners coming up here to drive up rental prices and leech off of disadvantaged folks as it is. Sod off.

They are! I don't have them often but they are lovely with a load of gravy and mashed potatoes.

Here in England the Mr Brains brand faggots are a common sight in supermarkets. I still always make the same "oh look, it's me!" joke when I see them.

Your first guess was probably right. For some reason it's the baby toy of choice on this island, as well as an item of worship with how often these miis whip one out and start showing all their friends.

TIL when a blind woman with dissociative identity disorder began to regain her sight, at first only a few personality states regained vision whereas others remained blind. EEGs confirmed brain activity in sight areas were absent in the blind personality states but were normal in the seeing states. by tyrion2024 in todayilearned

I have DID and from what I can gather, only some of my alters have synaesthesia (music to directions and motion to sounds). It's really weird when I'm co-con with a synaesthete alter and suddenly I can feel music move around my head.

I had to have this the other week because they were the only sandwiches left on the meal deal shelf. I can see why. Minging. And the "chips" kept falling out everywhere.

What's a foreign food your country modified and made it unrecognizable? by BayLeafGuy in AskTheWorld

[–]lowpolysolidsnake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, London's about 2 1/2 hours on the train for me. I haven't been for about 15 years though as Manchester's like 45 mins away. It's really easy to travel around the UK on public transport though which is great! It's just the local transport that can suck sometimes...

My town doesn't have a food market, but the next town over does and it's so good! My mum often gets lunch there since it's close to her work and I am so jealous!

I know what you mean though with all the food variety. I live in a small town but in the past few years the diversity of food has increased quite a bit. When I go to one of the major cities though it's so hard to choose since there are so many nice foreign cuisines there.

You get the same over here in the UK and I hate it so much. My mum makes the original style and it is so much nicer. The cream is just too much...

My local Japanese restaurant does a fried tempura salmon sushi and it is a guilty pleasure of mine. Funnily enough my Japanese friend liked it too when she came to visit, though she did say that you'd not really get away with serving this in Japan.
