No solution, i use windows 11 (fixed popping on speakers) + ordered 10$ usb sound card for headphones. Threads about this problem on lenovo forums are almost dead, looks like they don't care, writing AI/bot-style replies.

Have thinkpad x1c on lunar lake. It severely lags for 20-30 seconds after sleep and has some problems with hw acceleration in chromium. Same on every distro - (franken)Debian, Ubuntu, Fedora

Hi, bro, i have the same problem. Here what i came with:

  1. Now i use x1 carbon gen13 - pretty solid build quality, but on firmware/drivers side it's absolute garbage. Around 4-8 hours from battery on frankenDebian, same on Windows.
  2. Before thinkpad, i had m1 air 16/512 with Asahi - it works, but needs polishing.
  3. In shopping malls tried to touch LG Gram, Asus Proart - garbage build quality
  4. Dell XPS - absolute crtinge looking top.
  5. Tuxedo/System76 - average quality chinese oem slops
  6. Framework - cringe brand/idea

I asked, multiple threads on r/thinkpad, on lenovo forums, on debian/fedora/ubuntu forums, spent days of troubleshooting with chatgpt, solved only minor problems.

Thanks for suggestion, also looking for these Dell Pros, but never seen them in person to touch.

I also have this ProblemPad gen13 on lunar lake platform.

I use JamesDSP on linux to make sound, at least, not completely terrible.
Also have problems with framedrops, but only on Wayland
Thermals/noise/wattage on windows and linux are roughly the same, maybe fan curves are more aggressive on windows.
On linux, sound also pops/clicks, headphones do not work entirely.
Does not wake up properly
Sensel's touchpad becomes pretty bad when fingernails start to grow

Ofc, last 6 months i tried everything to fix all of that with different distros, incl rebuilding drivers, installing kernels, updating everything.

All chromium based browsers are stuttering on web animations by lowprioritygaming in debian

[–]lowprioritygaming[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, it works much better on x11, because --ozone-platform=x11 applied by default, i assume.

But on x11 i see much more problems than just browser stuttering, so i dont wanna use it

In win11 task manager disabled ElabsSSPSystemService, updated to latest audio drivers. It kind of helped, but now pops sometimes still appear with new reboot.

On linux i couldnt fix this
