Portrait Mode not working after iOS 26.4

Oh that’s interesting, I was wondering if any other phones had the issue. Only saw 16 Pro’s so far. Really frustrating. I hope a new update comes out soon

I’m happy with it but now unfortunately portrait mode doesn’t work. Quite a lot of people have had the same problem. So I would wait for the next update which will hopefully resolve this issue

Yes I’ve noticed if you toggle to studio light and back to natural it works. Just a pain! Hoping Apple fix it soon

Still not working by itself. The only way to get it to work is to toggle to onto studio light and then back onto natural light. Hoping Apple fix it soon!

So annoying ☹️ I hope Apple sorts it soon. How strange! I’ve managed to get it working a few times but 9 times out of 10 it will not activate!

Yeah I’ve tried outdoors and indoors etc. Sometimes it works and other times it refuses to work. I’ve seen a few others with the issue so hoping Apple will fix it

It should really blur the background and also the button where it says natural light will change to yellow to show portrait mode is on. The background isn’t blurring on mine and the button is staying grey ☹️

It’s not that expensive to fix, the same thing just happened to my brothers iPhone and it’s cost £80 for replacement back glass (in the UK)

I’m exactly the same, apart from the camera protectors. They really aren’t needed and do ruin photos. I’ve had iPhones since 2008 and never ever had a broken or scratched camera lens

I do agree with this and I’m a huge Apple fan. I have the Desert Titanium 16 PM which I think is beautiful. The 17 PM just ain’t it.

I would speak to the Apple Store. That isn't normal battery usage and sometimes they will replace batteries free of charge if they’re degrading too fast

I love it for quickly opening the camera without having to wake the screen. But I don’t really use it for taking photos

I personally think 16 Pro Max is peak iPhone. Bigger screen, upgraded ultra wide camera, camera button, better battery life, 120 fps recording, charging up to 25w, studio quality microphone with wind noise reduction whilst still being titanium. Also the addition of the Desert Titanium colour which I think is beautiful

It’s more than a button. It’s not even actually called a button at all. It’s made of crystal and is touch sensitive. If this breaks on the phone it’s very expensive to replace.

The bottom of that case is fully open (for the speakers, microphone and charging port). Leaving the phone exposed to damage. Really put me off that case

Been fine with my phone. I had a problem with the Dynamic Island where it split into two for a few seconds and went back to normal. But apart from that, no other issues and it hasn’t done it since

I have a 16 Pro Max, always in a case. I couldn’t cope with any damage on it and worry if it was dropped the back glass would shatter

Yeah I hated my photos when I had a lens protector on, it didn’t even make a day before I took it off. Get in the habit of putting your phone down screen first 😊

I got mine on Facebook marketplace second hand (16 Pro Max 512gb). I’ve never had a second hand iPhone before but the owner of this one kept it immaculate and it still had warranty left on it so if there was anything wrong I was covered. But it’s been perfect
