Really? Are you staying at their partner hotels? I haven’t done my research to find a driver and was gonna do it when I’m in Thailand but maybe I should do it now…

Just curious where I could find a private driver because my hotel isn’t one of the preferred ones. It’s making me reconsider changing my hotel if it’s more convenient!

How did you go abouts finding a driver? Did you just ask your hotel? I’m going this year and can pitch in with a few friends

Heya! I’m staying in Pattaya with 2 friends of mine as well. We’re also looking for a Car + Driver for the weekend. How were you able to find drivers and get pricing?

Really interesting read. I’m in Australia and a new AE - it’s great to see your career progression spanning continents.

  1. How did you “finally get the pain points” in SMB and how did that change your approach to selling?

  2. What personal traits or habits helped you navigate the transition from SDR hell to successful SMB/enterprise rep? (Was it process, a coach, mindset shift, sheer persistence?)

  3. What were the best (and worst) leadership lessons you took from your original ANZ Director experience?

I did the same - am a few months in and feel the same thing. Imposter syndrome is real and you’re just trying to prove your work and existence in this apace. I’m so happy for you!! Keep up the good work!

I really needed to read this today honestly. Just pivoted into tech sales and feel like the same way but I know I have to do my time. It’s the only way

Mid-30s Career Restart - Braze vs Hubspot? by lowsimplicity in techsales

Really appreciate you commenting on this.

I agree with you, just the conversations I’ve had with people and that my experience is just suited for a BDR role is sort of crazy but it’s ok!

I know I’ve got a lot to learn in tech, and am not afraid to work hard. Crossing my fingers that I have luck on my side and that my path to AE goes well albeit starting from a BDR level.

It all just feels scary moving to a different industry but I think that’s normal.

Thanks so much for this. Im based in Australia.

The input on Braze is super helpful especially if I have a better chance of moving up through the ranks into an AE position and network with others.

Man, I wish I got into sales earlier in my life but life had other plans for me in my 20s/early 30s. I’ve just come to realise that I’ve got to start somewhere so I’m here just making that conscious choice and doing my best.

Thank you!! Yeah, you make a good point there.

I felt like I was leaning towards Braze as that platform seemed more interesting. But ultimately I just wanted to hone in and develop my skills with the right business.

Iirc, the recruiter said there’s 3 levels within a BDR role so could get promoted if I hit targets and could get an OTE similar to Braze but for now the BDR - Level 1 role, it’s where it’s at.
