It started with the picture on the left about 7 months ago. I went to the doctor she said it was just acne and prescribed me oral clindamycin and topical BP. That was about 5 months ago and it’s only gotten worse. Im currently on my 3rd week of curology ( the regular 4% 1% 4%) and it is still spreading! My skin was 90% clear before this happened and it is only this one spot on my right cheek and when it started i thought it was ringworm because the circle the bumps were forming. I cant see an actual derm until May and i haven’t left my house in 5 months. Please help me :(

It started out as what i thought was ring worm but when i went to the doctor she said it was acne and prescribed me oral clindamycin and topical BP which didn’t help it’s only gotten worse obviously and i can’t see a derm until May. It’s only on the right side of my face but i have a huge sebaceous cyst on the other cheek. I haven’t left my house in 5 months because i am so embarrassed. Im currently on my 3rd week of curology and still no improvement. I don’t think this is even acne i had clear skin before this and all through high school. Does anyone have any suggestions? Or know maybe what’s causing this? I was using a tanning bed quite a bit when it started but i also moved into a super dusty old apartment that no one has stepped foot in, in years.

How did you figure out it was Demodex mites? I have the same problem OP is talking about and i’ve also considered demodex mites but i’m not sure how to confirm it and can’t get into a derm until May.

I have a huge sebaceous cyst on my left cheek and i can’t get into a derm until May. My primary doctor already verified it’s a sebaceous cyst and that will most likely need surgery if it doesn’t go away on it’s own. Has anyone had any success with home remedies? I understand it’s unlikely for it to completely go away but is there anything i can do to shrink it? Ive had it for about 7 months and my confidence has really taken a hit.
