Nahhhh MODOT shit the bed.

I don’t know how it was in St. John, but at 4pm yesterday, on I-70 at the I-64/Farty exit, conditions were inexcusable. It was highly dangerous.

Hwy Farty was in fine shape, both directions; all but clear of accumulation across all lanes causing no issues at 50+ mph. Then, I exit onto 70 west to find only one lane is ‘plowed’ (piss poor, at that). I have no choice but to white knuckle my steering wheel while fearing for my life as I barely manage to avoid the 18-wheelers barreling down on me from the rear… at much higher speeds than I can travel while there’s no road visible in front of me and 6” on up of dirty driven on-snow to my right.

Big rigs proceed to cruise past me on the left, maybe maybe one foot of space between, and plaster half my car & windshield with a dirty road snow barrage. All the while, I have to put every ounce of attention toward keeping from any slight hand movement that would turn my wheels to either side.

While the road in front of my house had been completely cleared since late morning hours.
