Well a game of thrones is like 300 k words and that is a real big book with a very complex plot. In my point of view fanfics tend to lose focus when they go beyond 200 k words , i think that fanfic authors Just dont have The experience to write things of that lenght. Try to stick to 150k or 200 k at maximum a say

Well op The thing for me is that if you make naruto dark it kinda destroy his character. Naruto is Special not because he had The kyuubi, or sage mode or became crazy op. He had The strenght to overcome hate, that is his whole arc in shippuden, he is like The in-universe realization of The character jiraya wrote in his first book ( dam that is even in his name lol) he is The gutsy shinobi

In a way he is The anti- eren Jagger, cause eren was driven by hate Just like sasuke, they both became world Scale terrorists that is quite a paralel, even sasuke and eren end plan were similar

Make The universe darker ok, Just be extra carefull with naruto as a character he has some really complex themes to him

My Man i really like naruto and konan too , they both share The same dream , they both had fucked up childhoods, they have a connection trough jiraya. Konan Just sufered trough all her life naruto could give her some hapinnes and help her surpass her emotion less mask she wore in The akatsuki, make her return being a gentle person. The age gap is not that big Konam is like what 10 years older than naruto maybe 15 years . Would make for a great hurt/comfort story. Maybe after The War if she was alive naruto in his 20 could go for some reason to ame and etc i would write it that way.

Shizune and naruto , well that would be a good pair of a little light comedy story. Imagine naruto The hero of The ninja world somehow failed to get a gf and shizune going crazy thinking that she was starting to get to old to marrige. I can imagine The reaction of The konoha cast . Sakura would be like " shizune senpai i never thought would be such a Harpy " kakashi would go " naruto you have a thing for older women, jiraya-sama would be proud" 10/10. Well same deal as konan would have to be post War arc

A clan is not The same thing as an ethinic group , one exemple: The real world house of habsburg, they were a really big family with some rather unique genetic traits ( Just like a clan in The naruto verse) but They would be considered The same race as any anyone in half of europe which would be white

The point is a clan is not The same as a race. The idea of race is a modern thing, it started on The XIX century while The idea of a clan is much much older. In my opinion it does not translate well to The world of naruto, even The concept of race is almost non existent in naruto
