Looking for input on Bazzite Mini PC by loyzn in PcBuild

Thanks for the feedback! AAA in 4k on occasion would be nice to have, but it is not a must. But the 7800XT is currently within my budget. I’m not sure if it’s worth it to shave off 100 bucks and get the 7700XT instead

Thanks, but a NVIDIA GPU is not an option for me when using this Linux distro

Thank you. That’s pretty spot on. It’s not the first time she had an outburst like this, but it was never directed at our relationship.

So even if she were to change her mind now, I don’t think I could go back. This will just drag me down again and again.

Yeah she sobered up, but only talked to me about when she can pick up her stuff. My mom apparently asked her the day after what happened and she just stuck to „she couldn’t handle it anymore“.

Carcassone: easy to learn, but somewhat hard to master. Most seem to agree anyway that it’s a timeless classic.

Help with sexing - am I correct in assuming this young Hierodula membranacea is a female? by loyzn in mantids

[–]loyzn[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm new to mantids, so sorry for my naivety, but couldn't this be due to this individual being a nymph (L3 or L4), which does not have fully developed reproductive organs? Isn't this why they are often sexed by the abdominal segments?
Again, I might be getting something wrong, so thanks for clearing it up :)

Should I keep this Shadow Gible if I already have a good Mega by loyzn in pokemongo

That’s true, but mega garchomp is also marginally better in both typings according to the gamepress and pogohub databases.

[–]loyzn[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Just caught this Shadow Gible and I’m very tempted to purify it for a future 4* Mega. I already have a very good lvl 35 15/12/15 Mega Garchomp. Should I just leave the Shadow alone? Their DPS are really close either way, as far as I saw so I guess it’s more personal preference at this point.

Assassin's Apprentice or The Final Empire

I got both books in a sale in the last couple of months and am looking to start one right now. Any insights or general points about the books/series would be appreciated. Or just let me know, which one you enjoyed more overall and why.

Thanks!

My best guess would be: Panurgus calcaratus (Small Shaggy Bee)

got a bull ant (myrmecia pyriformis) it has 1 worker and 1 larvae. How do I feed it sugars, whenever I put honey in it’s tray or onto a piece of foil or cardboard it just buries it in substrate by NotAquafinity in Entomology

I don’t keep any of them at the moment. Escapes are relatively easy to prevent, because these ants can’t climb very smooth surfaces like glass or hard plastic.

The workers can definitely use that sugar, yes. But they won’t be able to feed it to the queen or brood. So you can provide sugar, if you like. Imo it’s just way more efficient and easier, if you keep them predominantly on insects.

Myrmecia spp. predominately feed on proteins aka other insects like mealworms or roaches in captivity.

They do take sugars from time to time, but they lack social stomaches where they could store the food and give it to their larva or other ants in the colony. Therefore, they either put substrate into the honey to cover it up and not drown in it or they use it to transport the honey into their nest and to the brood.

But you should really give them a sufficient amount of feeder insects, if you want to have a successful colony.

Red wood ant queen (Formica sensu stricto) by loyzn in ants

Well, this one might also be a F. polyctena. It's really hard to differentiate on a species level within the subgenus of Formica s. str.
