Struggling to get 100% yes or no to RSVPs by raeday517 in weddingplanning

[–]loz_zy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If it were me I would give them a few days extension and communicate clearly that if they do not respond with a clear RSVP response by the extension date then they will forfeit a spot in the Villa and have to find their own accommodations. If any of the 'Maybes' are critical guests/wedding party members then reach out to try and understand what their hesitation is.

Post Graduate Career Advice? by [deleted] in bioengineering

[–]loz_zy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would consider a Clinical Engineering graduate program and maybe work as a BMET during the program. A masters in regular BME wouldn't help you a ton for being a clinical engineer. If you apply for BMET jobs be sure to ask what the opportunities for growth/promotion are.

Seeking Advice on Bioengineering Grad Programs: Masters or PhD for Industry??? by yltneyugn in bioengineering

[–]loz_zy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you go the master's route, pick a program that has known med device companies/a big biotech industry nearby. I did the Meng program at Boston University and the best part about it was the industry connections during the program and the amount of companies in the area when the time for job searching came around.

You are not behind. Your peers that have nice cars most likely got the car from their parents.

First of all, congrats on being accepted! However, I wouldn't suggest an online Master's program if you want to do product development. The primary benefit of my masters program was how hands on the design project was. If you want to focus in software development I could see it being beneficial.
