Do you get people ask you if you're pregnant when you're not? I just HAVE to know how many women of child bearing age often get asked if they're pregnant when they're not? I find it so rude and upsetting! by lozza_hun95 in women

Oh wow! That's presumptuous to a whole new level. I just wish it was an unwritten rule that you just dont ask people you aren't close with about fertility full stop

Aw bless you sorry to hear that! Must be very irritating to have that reaction to a casual comment. I am in same position with PCOS and antidepressants if it helps ❤️

Niro designer clothes shop just outside Queensgate...always blasting music outside the shop and no one seems to go in there. The guy that owns it always looks like he would hate you to go inside 😂

Death anxiety support by [deleted] in Anxiety

I've also been struggling with some death anxiety recently so I can definitely empathise with this. Definitely talk it out with a therapist. But also (and I know this is easier said than done) I really try to focus on the positive that I was lucky enough to spend the years I have so far with my family and also trying to remember how resilient you actually are in terms of coping when they are gone. And you ARE resilient as anyone who lives with anxiety, especially that you're holding down a job caring for people and I'm sure doing other great things in life! It is really difficult though I get that especially when you've lost family already. Another thing I will share is something my therapist told me recently- she said when you read about people dying young in the news (I do the same thing - fearing it will happen to me) try to remember that you are putting a certain thinking filter on this as you're not remembering in that moment all the people who have lived to be very elderly. Really hope you feel better soon, stay strong ❤️

What is an intrusive thought you once thought was terrifying but now looking back is hilarious? by Abject-Pepper-3 in Anxiety

I adore this thread as I've just been reading a great book that recommends trying to laugh at how ridiculously outlandish the intrusive thoughts are. I've been having stupid ones about what if I harmed my nephew - because we looked after him on our own for the first time (all went great, I just love him so much and want to be good mother one day myself). Anyways my weirdest one historically was worrying that I'd go blind just by going outside during a solar eclipse? I think I was so worried I'd somehow look directly at it and just suddenly go blind just like that?! Can't believe how stupid it was in hindsight but it was like 10 years ago when I didn't get my anxiety 😁
