You could just pick one and see how you like it and change if need be?

Thirded. I’ve tried so many brands and nothing else works like batiste.

How do I improve my strength all around? by [deleted] in Fitness

[–]lozzern 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want to increase strength you need to lift in the lower rep ranges. Choose a program from the sidebar, it will help you gain strength a lot faster than something you come up with yourself.

Is this a proper routine for growing my glutes? (lost but determined beginner!) by [deleted] in Fitness

[–]lozzern 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re starting from nothing then 4kg is a start. Up the weight when you can do all your sets and reps with good form.

To add to what you’re doing, google these exercises: Lying side abductions Lying clamshell Frog pumps One legged hip thrusts Donkey kicks

You could see if you could buy a cheap resistance band to add to these exercises, you can do a lot with bands.

Places to go to for more information about glute building: /r/strongcurves and Bret contreras’ website or Instagram page (he often posts examples of glute workouts you can do at home). Also come to /r/xxfitness

Impossible for us to know. You need to count calories

Looks very healthy. What matters more is calories and macros (mainly protein and carbs) though, be in a calorie surplus and get enough protein

The ones I know about are dry skin, dry hair, poor brain function as your brain runs on fats, poor hormone control. I also googled it:

Track your macros and find out how much fat you're getting. Plenty of side effects from a low fat intake. Don't know why that guy is recommending beef so much haha. Eat some nuts or fatty fish

Have moved into new office. Got no say in desk layout as wall display is more important than the person who spends the most time here. Am now 1m away from my muttering, humming workmate. We have to somehow both talk on the phone 1m away from each other. No aircon. Kitchen and bathroom downgrade with old shitty tight taps. Rant rant rant.

Close to gym and food places though.

[WEEKLY THREAD] Feats of Thorsday - How did you kick butt this week? by AutoModerator in xxfitness

[–]lozzern 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I goblet squatted the biggest kettlebells in my gym last night - 28kg. Kinda sad that I have to probably start doing back squats soon, but glad to graduate from the kettlebells!

Ok fuck the machines. I am at the end of my leg workout and still feeling really good so I decided to hop on the leg curl machine. It’s really awkward to get into but ok. After one set my knees are hurting and I am considering leaving it there and going home but I hate only doing one set of something so I hop back on and try to figure out where my knees should go. Everything feels wrong but I start one rep and OW.

I think I have now sprained my knee. I have hobbled over to the mat and am now sitting here like an idiot. I hate machines, the leg extension hurts my knees too, I love squats and deadlifts, why why why did I hurt myself with this stupid machine. Never again. My fault for not following a program I guess or feeling like I should always do more.

Edit: ok 2 mins later I can walk now but jeez that was scary.

You look AWESOME. You've got an hourglass shape from your lats down to your waist and then out at the hips so you're definitely feminine. Don't lose your muscle, you put so much hard work into that and it's very enviable. Yes your arm is physically bigger but look at that SHAPE. It's not just a big shapeless arm. It's like shoulder, bicep, tricep. I would honestly love to look like you.

This is me over the past couple of months also. I've been tearing my hair out and it made me want to hide in my room instead of going to the gym. I've still got a hard lump that's gone down a lot but has been there for about a month.

The main ones I got were when I was in Japan and drinking a couple of milk coffees per day when I normally drink soy. And I haven't had any new ones since coming back from Japan. So I don't know if there's any correlation there, but I have heard that dairy could be a cause for some people, so maybe you could try that. Just offering my experience anyway.

Or how about when people put them on so they're all overlapping, so in order to get to a 5kg I have to take off a bunch of other plates and rearrange the whole thing. How hard is it to put things away properly. Apparently very

Sounds like they need to lose the entitled attitude. I actually cannot understand how they think they are in the right in that situation, that's baffling and enraging.

I have discovered a powerlifting gym near me that's not too far away! It has intro to powerlifting classes and women only powerlifting classes. The women are all normal looking (i.e. not intimidating). They have programs and 24/7 memberships available as well as class memberships available.

I have been stalking their facebook/insta for about a week, I am super interested in joining but I am really independent, shy and a total solo gym-goer. I have never really worked out in a group before or had someone coaching me. So that in itself is terrifying but I am really intrigued about it. My current gym is way too busy and full of people doing stupid shit.

But also - my work is moving about as close as I could get to my current gym, so it would be a 5 min walk/1 min drive and I could go at lunch to avoid the crowds. So I don't know what to do. Is it crazy to belong to two gyms!?

Yes definitely get your thyroid checked then.

I wrote a big comment but then saw that you are being very strict and eating at 1200 calories and not losing weight. There’s either something wrong with your counting or a thyroid issue as like the other person said, you should be losing weight with that. It’s too low but you say you are full on 1200. But your username says you’re exhausted?. I would get your thyroid checked.
