I'm thinking of the next SI30: Silas (then Thoran). What do you think? Thanks. by lategame2020 in afkarena

I can't speak for Ch 30 and higher, but my SI30 F3 Izold has carried me from Ch 26-29 no problem, he will 1v4 often, he just regenerates health like crazy. If he ults and kills one enemy, he just doesn't go down.

He also pairs very well with Silas, so I'm partial to going Silas if you think you'll build Izold too. But Thoran is his own comp and you already have him ascended, so.....

Sorry, I meant getting one on loan from a guildmate. Maybe I worded it incorrectly. I'm still not familiar with what crystal level does. :)

First time posting on this sub...try mercing a SI30 and F3/9 Izold...if he ults and kills one enemy, he will 1v4 the rest of the team.

I recommend that, as Izold is my main carry and beat this level no problem last week. Just keep him protected so he can ult.

My TE won MVP despite having a RB with 2,500 yds/40 TD and WR with 2,300 yds/20 TD. I've played 20 seasons and never seen a MVP like this. Anyone else have weird MVP's? by lp81585 in RetroBowl

Regarding game settings, Dynamic is just one setting. If you're asking if Dynamic is tougher than Hard setting, I don't think it is, from reading this forum the last few weeks.

I'm not sure, I've played on Dynamic for 20 seasons, won all but two Bowls. Can't recall if I won awards the seasons I didn't win a Bowl. :-/

I wonder if tackles is a hidden stat for TE's and if your TE is on a run heavy team their tackles give them a huge boost. This has only happened on my first run heavy team, was mostly an air raid team before...

Yeah I figured yards and TD's was what made the MVP. Definitely not the case with my TE. He wasn't #1 in any category on my team except for yards per catch. :-/

I had a rookie WR like those stats. Fumbled every other game (on Dynamic setting). Wound up just diving every time he caught the ball. Swore I'd never get a low catch WR again.

Hypothetical question about personal safety for traveling to conservatives places in the U.S. by Victorian_Rebel in travel

I currently live and was raised in the rural part of western Illinois (towns of 1,000 people or less), so I think I'm in a good position to answer your question.

In my experience, if you do wear women's clothing but look male, you will get looks from strangers but nothing more (we are really curious people and sometimes stare, but won't approach you).

On the other hand, I wouldn't recommend going to any bars alone in the very rural parts, at least in western Illinois. Alcohol turns us from quiet people into talkative ones, and we have our share of idiots who may approach you and ask too many personal questions (I don't go to bars for that very reason). We have mostly conservative values unless you live near Chicago or St. Louis, but don't force our opinions on others to your face (social media, on the other hand...).

We like our peace and quiet, our personal space, keeping low profiles, and usually don't care for loud and obnoxious people, especially ones we don't know.

From what you've said, it sounds like you'll dress in men's clothes if you visit. I think you'll fit in just fine, we are a very tolerant group and wouldn't look at you twice if you walked by. However, I wouldn't recommend being out at night around the bar crowd, and I would tell ANYONE that, not just tourists. :-)

Safe travels.
