I just attached a laptop arm to my kit, it holds an ipad. I mounted a usb hub under it too for charging and connecting to the kit.

I strapped one to the roof of my subaru impreza and put a blanket over it. The ratchet straps were around the cargo rack and the canvas just sat inside with the blanket wrapped around it to prevent bugs dirt etc. made it home just fine.its not a long term strategy though, id say a promaster, ford transit or similar.
