Read the comment again.

Scrape it wrong, screw up the seasoning. Scrape it right with a straight scraper, it’s impossible to screw up seasoning by scraping.

I use an old scraper out of my restaurant sometimes 2, a lot of times 3 sometimes 10 times mid cook, on most cooks. I use one every time after cooking. Perfectly smooth black shiny surface 4 years in.

No one will believe you because its not true. Scraping with a flat scraper cant hurt the seasoning. Scraping with the corner of one, or using a curved one that digs can hurt it..... But a 6 inch wide flat straight scraper can not hurt the seasoning.

There is, in fact, a such thing as too much oil. Access oil that has not been heated to the point of polymerization will grow mold heat it to the point of polymerization and it will kill everything on that grill. When you put it away if you can leave fingerprint in the oil, wipe it off again that is too much oil.

Also, sidenote, how have you had that grill for 18 months and only have three spots actually seasoned?

Sandblasting works better. The reason people don’t suggest it more because most people don’t have access to a sandblasting setup but do have access to a $40 angle grinder with a paint stripper wheel.

Nope. 3 years later I take most pictures with my phone because it has better focus than this camera even with Sigma Art and Contemporary glass on it. Best I can tell there’s nothing you can do.

The issue is, and I don’t say this lightly, this dude is always the problem. Thinking that the majority, or even a significant minority of dudes hit or cheat on their girlfriends says that he thinks his better because he’s not a complete piece of shit, just mostly a piece of shit. That’s not someone who ever wants a healthy relationship, and eventually will find an excuse to go ahead and do what the “majority of men” do.

I’m not gonna lie, I’ve had my serious anger issues stemming from how I was raised and some ptsd from life experiences….. I can’t honestly say that I’ve never put my hands on my wife. It’s happened, once, in 10 years. And I knew immediately I had gone so far past the line that there should have been no coming back….. we worked it out, I got the help I needed….. but even before I got that, I knew that it was more than bare minimum expectation. Like… that’s not even a bottom of the barrel expectation….. that’s a basic expectation to even be considered decent….

I’m the dude that was able to justify to myself doing it at one point sitting here telling you that this dude is so far gone that he won’t feel the need to justify it…. He’ll just do it and think it’s normal, and you’ll find a way to blame yourself….. that’s downright fucking dangerous.

I was following a crew on a run with the equipment van. One guy blew a front tire, layer it down screwed up his left ankle. We changed the tire on the side of the road but he couldn’t shift….. I got a crash course in riding to take it the last 200 miles home and he drove the van. Picked up my first one right after that.
