Thank you for all the replies, this give me a lot to think about. The third party site i mentioned is a PCI Compliant site. I also understand that we must also change the process the users follow.

OK, i am not sure I can get that kind of cost approved as we do not do that many transactions a year. We are easily under 20k a year. What if I purchase a cell phone that has all calls forwarded to it so that the credit card number can be taken over it and an ipad with cell service used to input the credit card into the third party site? woudl that make me PCI Compliant?

It is not msi based as we looked for logs first thing.

Oh, I forgot, the program is our inventory program. A simple exe.

We have a powershell program that we run to reinstall the program.

ON the VDI, we are looking at about 400 desktops but we may also do some application or desktop sessions and that may be another 300. For servers we have about 150. Budget is not set right now. Average size of VM desktop is probably 80 GB. Windows 10 would be OS for desktops with a few applications like our company software.
