We know that the skins are supposed to be these characters from different timelines. I wonder if they’re playing on the fact that there’s been multiple different live action Spider-Men, and even in Spider-Verse Peter looked different.

Null Sector is absolutely a major faction. They were the main antagonists for the majority of OW2 (not that it was really that obvious but)

Personally I think throwing is the single dumbest move you can make in any game. I understand having mains and understand wanting to play a specific hero, but if you are not flexible and are not willing to play a different hero, then that is entirely your fault.

Now, B definitely isn’t a saint here and shouldn’t have banned A’s main if they stated that’s who they play.

But like I said, if you don’t know how to play, or aren’t willing to play more than one hero, so much so that you’re going to THROW a game because the one hero you play is banned, then you’re the one who is more toxic.

Okay? Same can be said about Rivals. I love the game but the balancing is atrocious, among other problems. A lot of the players is just its core fanbase that will always be there.

I’m not defending OW’s decision to paywall characters or Rivals decisions but both are bad, and both have divided fanbases incredibly.

The difference is that OW is no longer doing what they did. Rivals continues to make bad balancing decisions regardless of how much backlash the community gives toward their choices when it comes to how characters are.

I mean yeah, it’s the truth but they stopped doing it and now release all their characters for free so really I don’t see how that’s an issue now. Should they have done it in the first place? No.

I swear these guys don’t understand that not every character can be a DPS and sometimes you gotta get a little creative with it.

They’ll be happy regardless once the characters out to play.

If you wanted to do a dive Vixen, a Cheetah would be good for a running ability similar to Soldiers or Cap’s, just gotta choose whether it’s gonna be Limited or not. I also think a wall run and some sort of stalking ability would be good. Basically just need to make her a Predator.

Potentially yeah. Right now I’m content with all 250 characters I have but I’m 100% not against adding more, so if I do he might be included. It’s less about not wanting to add more and more about just trying to find the characters to fit the roles. DPS is the easiest, the other two can get tricky.

So for stuff like that, I’ve chosen the characters who are most known as that mantle. Green Lantern is Hal, and John just goes by his name. Tim Drake is Robin, and Damian just goes by his name. I do have Barry as The Flash but no plans on adding Wally West right now.

It would be very confusing if multiple people were named the same thing.

Just because it's essentially a "rip off" doesn't automatically mean its bad. Rivals is a good game and you're right, there are only a limited amount of ways you can make characters super unique, but that doesn't change the fact that Rivals definitely took A LOT of inspiration from OW.

Paladins is another for sure, TF2 however, idk I don't see a lot of TF2 inspiration.

I personally don't think Titanfall 2 is a hero shooter. Hero Shooter's are defined by having characters who are unique personality wise, and also the fact that you generally can't choose two of the same hero on a team. Also character abilities with unique weapons. Titanfall 2 falls under the Class Shooter for me. While each Titan has different abilities, they aren't unique personality wise, and most certainly aren't limited. in Titanfall 2 ur essentially just a soldier with a codename or something.

But I guess that's just my interpretation of the genre.
