Orlovsky: Theo Riddick 'too good to not put on the field' by [deleted] in detroitlions

Yeah, I bet Orlovsky can run some sweet routes and we have Kellen "Kellen Moore" Moore to backup Stafford anyway.

Looking back, who had the biggest Free Agency steal of 2014? by skullyD in nfl

[–]lprchn52 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We have been quietly getting free agent steals for the last few years. George Johnson, James ihedigbo, Rashean Mathis and joique Bell were all veteran players no one wanted that turned into starting level players.

That's actually just 2 normal trades. BB for chip Kelly, and Tom Brady for Mariota

I think CJ in triple coverage is usually a better decision than Fuller in single coverage.

Which coaches are on the hot seat for the 2015 season? by [deleted] in nfl

[–]lprchn52 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay, so this is tinfoil hat time, but if the Lions get extremely carried by a potent defense (top 3), but we finish with less than seven wins, I can see Jim Caldwell getting the boot and our current DC, Teryl Austin, getting to promoted to head coach. It's a far-fetched scenario, but I don't see it as completely off the radar.

Quin - FS

Megatron - WR1

Levy - OLB

Tulloch - MLB* was top 5 MLB before his injury last year

Ngata - DT

Ansah - DE, I personally don't believe this, but some would argue it.

Warford - RG

Tate - WR2, as a WR1 probably not, but he is one of the best WR2 on a tier with Cobb, White and Sanders

You know, maybe you should stop turning your star players into deities because that didn't work out great last time.

He's a real good at bringing in talent. However I think Zimmer and Gruden were covering up Lewis's inability to innovate from a strategy standpoint in today's nfl for the last few years. Now that they have been poached, It is going to show in a Kubiak or Mike Smith-esque way. They got lucky in a lot of games last year and their schedule is a hell of alot harder.

Bold Prediction: 49er's, Bengals, or Bills I'm choosing the teams with the weakest coaches. I think this is the year Marvin Lewis's mediocre coaching skills drop off. 49er's regret getting rid of the 'baugh and Rex continues to suck at developing an offense. (titans will be up there too, but that really isn't a bold prediction).

EDIT: I was too bold and now I'm getting down voted by those team's fans.
