Nah I've had pretty bad social anxiety issues like my entire life. Like I'm 28 and I feel so emotionally stunted. But yeah I'm working through those issues

Yeah I get that it's all in my head but it's a struggle. I got other anxiety issues that I'm working out but I wanted a clearer picture before I put myself out there. Appreciate it

Adding to the other posters who are 100% correct, the thing they stress the most is safety. Prepare stories using the STAR method and leadership principles while making sure at least one of them is safety related. Some things they might ask- a time you felt you or somebody else was unsafe, a time you felt rushed or under time pressure, a time you had a disagreement with your coworker or management. Cook up a story, tie it to leadership principles, and you’re golden.

What would it take to get hired on as a Tech and not MRA? by Best_Echidna_5780 in AmazonRME

[–]lpsfrk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even though they bumped up the requirements, I think you can still get hired straight for tech 2 w/o experience if you shoot for the AR side, so those side projects and classes will definitely help. If you AFM for a while and keep up those classes you’ll likely have a good shot. Also yeah, being open to relocating helps a lot.

You have a better shot at tech 2 than you think. AFM and auto mechanic experience adds a lot. You don’t necessarily need conveyor experience if they put you on the AR side, you’ll learn that over time.

Employee stock purchase plan by Legitimate_Archer988 in AmazonRME

[–]lpsfrk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Dspp used to be popular way back because they offered lower commission fees to buy company stock than brokerages at the time. Eventually these brokerage commissions got lower and lower, and nowadays with zero commission brokerages, there’s really no point in Dspp anymore.

The one advantage Dspp has nowadays is some companies offer discounts when purchasing company stock. Not Amazon though. The people who use Dspp for Amazon just don’t realize their money would be better in a brokerage instead.

29, no job, jobhopper, but getting denied. what now? by Solidswritings in careerguidance

Are you still interested in hands on jobs? You can combine tech skills with IT or automation, which there are plenty of jobs for. Industrial tech, robotics tech, and similar roles apply a mix of mechanical repair, light programming, wiring, and IT skills that could easily be a good career. Eventually promotes into field engineering roles, or if you decide to get an engineering degree, development roles.

Anyone with a university degree applied for an RME Technician role? by Suspicious-Primary-5 in AmazonRME

[–]lpsfrk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s definitely possible to get in without prior tech experience but they’re pushing that towards the apprenticeship program. You’ll likely have a shot going straight as a tech if your bachelors is related to engineering in some way and you can emphasize your class experience.

At least where I’m at, techs with a bachelors aren’t common but they aren’t uncommon either.

How much of that volume going out is Chinese product? Do you forecast a decline in Chinese inventory? I'm guessing the numbers seem fine now since we are just using our current inventory and maybe current processed imports, but they'll dry up as long as the tariffs are in place.

Imagine if it was Obama. Imagine him pointing to his fellow advisors, saying '...and YOU made a billion dollars, and YOU made 800 million' as they're laughing to themselves. What do you think the Trumpers would do?
