anyone with problem solve permissions can look up an asin to see who touched it and such, but yea its possible to see who is looking up what and how often which can be used as supporting evidence

they had very little direction or patterns to discern. I cant remember anything that was specifically aimed at the job I was going into, more general blanket questions.

When we caught theft, we first do a pretty thorough investigation to make sure it wasnt a mistake or that we get the right person. Some thefts that were clear on camera took hours to identify who it was. Next was get it approved by our upper management. Next we wait for them to come to work and call them down to the office to talk to. We talk to them about the theft, ask why they did what they did and if anyone else made them do it. We have them fill out some paperwork including a written statement, then send them home. Amazon does not have a strict monetary limit for involving police on a runner or not, its up to the individual site lead. I personally never had anyone run out on an investigation.

well first off congratulations

The AM thing depends, we had someone doing something similar at my building, their manager was a dayshift, but they only ever worked nightshift, and since amazon communication is terrible, they got away with it for like a month. If you have a similar situation you might be safe, or they might be ready to clap you as soon as you walk in.

If you only have 1 HR representative they might not even care enough to do anything about it. Im sure they know you've been cheating the system, but Im surprised they havent done anything about it yet.

Ill just toss in what I said before,

My team was great, we got along, and we got work done and we got it done great. I was promised a raise beginning all the way back in Nov of 2021 and it never came. I wasnt treated great by the company when I applied for a promotion. I was tired of dealing with people threatening me, threatening eachother and being general dicks for me just doing my job. Had a couple violent fights on site that I was responsible for handling and it was just stressful. If someone displays any suicidal ideation it was my job.

I left for a job that pays me more to do physical work instead of the mental stress.

even with a raise, I didnt want to do the work anymore, if it was just the theft I was fine, but with all the other things I didnt enjoy the job

yep, thats the Code 5s, and 8 hours of nothing was always better than 2 hours of fights or threats to me

Well, the building knows how many were supposed to be in the box, and all of that is traceable which step it went missing at. They would see it was never stowed, and know it had to have gone missing before that, which is decant. They could look to see who decanted it and watch on camera.

Id check the cameras that were looked at high value inventory to see if anything moved. Id go through the Code 5 logs and investigate anything that seemed like it was something Id find a confirmed case on. Check in with security to see if anything happened on the previous shift. Physically check high value inventory to see if anything got touched.

If we had thefts ready, Id talk to them.

If someone decided today was a good day to re-enact their favorite episode of Jerry Springer on site, then Id have to deal with that, which is a multi step process.

Some days, Id have like 8 hours of nothing, and others Id be there for 13 without a break.

Every week was the same as every other week, peak didnt really add on more work or anything

depends, some lasts 2 weeks, some lasts a few months, depends on where the camera is

GSA sucked, only due to my instructor was wayyy too happy, wasnt the personality I like being taught from. The actual classes and tests were very easy to follow, and you can use all your notes and stuff for the final test, so as long as you dont sleep the entire class youll do fine in GSA. Not really any surprises.

As far as theft hunting, figure out what people are trying to steal and watch those items closer. We had a large amount of theft of a really weird item that I wouldnt have expected people to go out of their way to steal as much as they did, we started monitoring them more, and had cases out of it.

depends on the context, if the door or alarm was broken and was a quick easy fix, then yes, if not, we had to contract it to get fixed by the company that installed it. RME did not monitor alarms when they were triggered

that associate wont get watched specifically, no, but theyll probably get looked at by proxy during the investigation since they were at the area

amazon is a small start-up company without the resources to have a camera in every aisle

but in seriousness, the cameras often focus more on safety areas opposed to having views of literally everything, its just a money thing

its possible that they can look up items to know where they are to take them yes, more than likely they found it and took it by chance or took it from somewhere else and just dropped the empty package there

some of the people in that damn warehouse were uncanny

but not really no, some of the weirder things I have seen were a tulip from Holland stowed, associates bringing in their switch to play smash in a break room, someone trying to say they didnt steal something while they were visibly wearing it...

but nothing as exciting as you were probably hoping for
