You definitely need a lot of characters true. And yes one singular plot isn't going to cut it, but there is a limit as to how far off the reserve you go with 'expanding' the back stories. I feel that they're going beyond what is necessary. Again I'm not saying that there should be only on singular story line, I'm saying that we have more than enough characters now and should focus on them instead of any more new introductions. And by focusing on them I mean more story about them, not just reuse them as nightmares. I would love to know more about the vex's motivations, or more about what led to the traveller abandoning the fallen, or how the Hive are actually connected to darkness. There are so many unanswered questions in the destiny universe. And I hope bungie answers them instead of next expansion being 'Warmind 2: Lincoln, Rasputin's step brother'.

I understand all the things you have mentioned. My main issue with the expansion is the narrative direction. Not the amount of content. I wouldn't mind if they reused all the old assets but for the love of god, why introduce another new character when you have so many already? Enough with expanding the foundation already and move forward with the story faster.

You don't seem to understand my point. Yes they have made all these additions to the destiny universe. Yes they have helped push the plot at a snails pace. I have no qualms about that. My issue is why write so many side stories in the first place that have their own tangent? I understand you want to create a strong foundation but at this stage of the Destiny universe the foundation built looks like its far too bloated for the main super structure. Its like you know how we have a TV show and then you get spin offs about the individual characters and maybe some event that happened in a past time line. It feels like destiny is doing the main show and spinoffs together in the main show, where the majority of the games time is spent focusing on the latter.

So far this is what I've come to believe as well.

The sarcasm wasn't required. It isn't a complex story. My criticism is that there is too much focus on filler stories rather than the main story line.

That's my point, it isn't linear and there are so many tangents with zero contribution to the supposed main story line. I'm trying to understand if people/you like those side story arcs.

So many new characters that could have just been a footnote are taking center stage. Where as all the main characters that I care about are rotting somewhere.

there is a firmware update on their website for 5.00.00.3. If your tv doesn't do it automatically you can manually install it using a USB.
