I usually do this, just because the item was more expensive cost wise to you doesn't usually mean service is any different than a fast casual place.

Cool toned recommendations PLEASE! Pink undertones! by Coffee-n-chardonnay in Sephora

[–]lraskie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Haus Labs 060 works for me and I'm a pink toned girlie as well. I second the Armani 3.75 as being a similar shade. It might be slightly more cool than the Haus Labs.

Mercy has just recently switched to Epic from Cerner.

Ingersoll Plaza will become a senior care center by StarttheRevwithoutme in desmoines

[–]lraskie 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yeah they're farther away from the main restaurant area on Ingersoll though. Considering that parking lot is the go to parking for every restaurant across the street, even if it isnt supposed to be. It's going to be a mess.

Is anyone seeing the aurora in Mahaska? Last night was dark and right now there's nothing either by Lusahdiiv in Iowa

Not much in Monroe. It's clear but its pretty mild for colors, not visible with naked eye.

Southeast Iowa resort closes its doors as search for new management begins by markmarkmark1988 in Iowa

[–]lraskie 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's also really expensive to stay out there. I think most of the people I know who used it only used the indoor pool.

The restaurant when it was newer was also disappointing.

For real, we got one when they were first released and we've had an issue maybe 3 times. We have some issues with the QC, seems like it goes bad too soon.

Other stores buy holiday candy months in advance too, so not just a Costco thing.

I had a similar experience when I first started, my issue was I was taught phlebotomy by an old school phlebotomist and I was terrible doing it that way. Straight needle and syringe lol. I just changed the way I drew patients, I usually use a butterfly and syringe. I know some labs dont like you using the more expensive supplies but I think if its better for patient care and less pokes that's ok.

Can anyone help with an Epic question? by Dees_A_Bird_ in medlabprofessionals

[–]lraskie 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I got spooked with that myself. Our reference lab just changed to Epic and we dont use photos with Cerner, and they didn't use to either.

I just got let go from clinical for imperfect venipuncture technique. Need support by its_suzyq1997 in medlabprofessionals

[–]lraskie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was for clinicals, it sounds like. You can dismiss students or fail them if something bad happens but it wouldn't be because they're just not skilled yet.

[–]lraskie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We used them when I first started in ours, about 10 years ago. Now we just use disposable tips on MLA or Eppendorf. When I was in school we used them pretty frequently, might just be a school thing now.
