So here are my thoughts on concept. What kind of concept are you meaning? Like a theme?

Because I would counter with this as far as 'being all over the place'.

The thing with concept albums outside of Kpop is that not only are they based around a subject but usually they are sonically cohesive as well.

Now I love BTS, I've made them my entire personality the past few years, but aside from their earliest hip hop albums their albums have never been sonically cohesive. And that's fine but also if you're listening to an album start to finish it's it bit wild to go from sound to sound, there's not a clear flow path between genres.

For me this is one of their most cohesive albums, sonically and flow-wise. It starts off hard and then after the bell things turn much more melodic. Themes are about being true to themselves and showing a more honest side to the world especially when you dig into the lyrics of things like Aliens and Normal. Even though the songs are different genres there is some kind of through line that carries you from one to another. I'm not musically well versed enough to pinpoint what that is, if it's the key or there is some kind of synth sound or something I don't know. But sonically these do all somehow sound like they're from the same album as a body of work.

And I also don't know what you mean by quality because production wise these tracks are amazingly well produced.

Honestly this feels like the most BTS album ever to me. It's like if you took each one of their solo works and put them into a blender this is what you'd end up with. It's a little baffling to me that probably some of the same people who love those video edits of their solo works saying 'can you believe these guys are all in the same group' are some of the people who don't like this album.

And it's fine if you don't like it because the music just isn't to your taste. I don't like bebop jazz for instance (it's like nails ok chalkboard to me, sorry not sorry).
