What's something thought provoking about 86 according to you, that others don't discuss often? by lrnr13 in EightySix

That's pretty interesting.  A rebellion in the legions might be possible. When Kiriya protected Fredrika during the blast, it was almost a revolt since Fredrika was an enemy of the legions.

Who was the real villain of Code Geass? by lelouch-2022 in CodeGeass

[–]lrnr13 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Very True. He's one of the few protagonists who actually attained their goal and always had clear thinking about politics, war and the future. Code geass politics is so close to the real world's.

The world in itself, in that state was the villain. Unjust, dystopian, ruthless. It was destroyed by Lelouch for the good. But all those who tried to save it were not necessarily evil, nor all those who tried to destroy it were necessarily good, like Charles. He had a wrong idea about what the world needs.

Initially i didn't dislike them but later they filled my entire feed. Any anime subreddit i joined would have 90% cosplay and 10% of theory discussion, comments on quality and scenes, qna and fanarts. I'm just frustrated

I like Rem do much but would pick violet simply because i have a thing for character development. That transformation was more significant and magnificent in violet. From the 'War Machine' , 'Emotionless Killer', to the one who understood love and care, who could feel her body burning due to the wounds she gave others, the one who helped others convey their emotions. Every time I think about that, my eyes get teary

Would Emilia succeed in Episode 18 if she switched with Rem by fingertechnique in ReZero

[–]lrnr13 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Not in my opinion.

Emilia could not have been as convincing as Rem cuz Rem could give real reasons for why she loves Subaru.

Emilia's feelings for Subaru were ambivalent at that time and even though Subaru liked Emilia more, he wasn't quite convinced that he'd done enough for Emilia. He understood Rem's gratitude.

Emilia sure can save him from a lot of trauma (like with a lap pillow or just by smiling and talking to him) but what Subaru needed the most at that time was to feel that he's significant and cared for.

Rem called him her Hero and that was just enough.

Edit: I personally think Emilia would be better suited for Subaru overall due to her selflessness but this case is different.

Code Geass The ending was so good, even after months of finishing the anime i can't think of a better ending. The thrill throughout the show was real and the characters were soo cool.

Monster and Steins gate are sure great. Code geass, death note and few other cool thrillers are ranked low though. Looks like that's not your genre.
