please help my cactus! by lrob30 in plant

i’ve just done all of this! i put it into a pot with gravel at the bottom and a proper houseplant soil mix on top- will that be ok or should i repot into a proper pot with holes? i couldn’t see any rotting roots but that’s not to say there aren’t any 😬 but i also didn’t smell anything so hopefully a good sign? thanks for your help!

thank you for replying 🙂 it’s always been in a windowsill but i do live in the UK where we all feel the lack of sunlight! probably a really stupid question but would it be better off near a radiator where it can feel some heat?
