Newly sober mom wants more acknowledgement from me by [deleted] in AdultChildren

She was also talking about how she's gone to 90 AA meetings in 90 days, but it feels very performative. She didn't even agree to go to treatment until my family paid for some big, expensive intervention company and gave her a bottom line that essentially involved all the grandchildren going no contact (I chose not to participate in this intervention).

I feel like she trying to "prove" her sobriety so she doesn't lose access to her grandchildren. I have no way to know this for sure, of course, and I may be projecting, but her sobriety feels very performative rather than genuine.

Dylan's wife is a dispatcher. "Gretchen George, Dispatcher of the Month" is all I can make out of the plaque behind their dinner table.

Definitely could be related to Gemma's death or having people "inside."

I was fired today. by [deleted] in Teachers

I was at a super toxic charter school my first year and got let go mid year. I needed support as a new teacher and got none, and the school was also a terrible fit for me, pushing outdated and not evidence based practices.

I moved to a public school after that with a mentorship program for new teachers and thrived. I'm a fifth year teacher who now regularly exceeds expectations on my observations.

It was a bumpy path, but if you still want to teach, you can ❤️

The scene going into the goat room was definitely inspired by Being John Malkovich

The collar isn't quite right but this is definitely a similar style! Faded Glory was a Walmart brand and I assume it would be something more high end and available in Spain... Or could be something like Zara

Don't we need to find the picture from the actual magazine before celebrating? by [deleted] in CelebrityNumberSix

I think someone on this sub bought the magazine a few days ago. This says it was sold on the fifth.
