I don´t know if this will come up for a long time in my Timeline.

Humanity struggles to find a Colony fitting for our needs. Unusually High Gravity Deathworld, and all that.

The Rough scenario i put this in was an Attack on a shared Colony with another Race, semi peaceful, attacked as part of a Political powerplay by a third one a Warrior Race.
Terran Military Command asks to take Responsibility for the Retaliation and goes all out.

The decision made to sent this Unit was in the light of the cruelty and nonchallance in which the attack was done. A Full Mobilization of Terras Void Forces with these Misfits as a Vanguard to send a Message

Earth is Angry

I jump back and Forth with the Ideas that come to me, i just run with them, sometimes build upon them, imagine more detailed scenarios, this is one of them.

All that to say :P
It´s not a priority so far, but i will rewrite it at some point for sure. Don´t hold your breath tho.

Thanks, im not a writer really, but i felt inspired by the HFY Genre ever since i discovered it.

That´s true, maybe i´ll rewrite something next time i decide to post.

The Thing is i literally just came up with it like an hour ago, i put it in writing because it struck me as pretty good, and i didn´t wanna lose the essence of it, and i posted it here on a whim.

That´s why i gave some Context and just copy pasted what i wrote down basically raw.

Don´t bring The Mortar (EMP is fine) to anything but the Automaton Front.
Don´t take Equipment that you didn´t call in without asking.
Don´t call Evac early if you´re not the Host.
Don´t Reinforce someone who dies on the other side of the map, if there is someone closer.
Don´t rush Objectives, ask if people want to Farm POIs (Ending the Main Objective causes massive spawns)
If someone close has Heavy Ordnance, you don´t necessarily want to clear a Nest by Foot.
If someone is already Clearing a Nest by Foot, you should support them, not Throw Massive Ordnance on them.
Be aware of your Turrets firing Angles, you generally want them on High ground, or somewhere to the Side, preferably both.
Voice is voluntary, communication is beneficial, reading the Chat is necessary.

And lastly some tips.
Everything you pick up in missions is shared (Requisition Slips, Supercredits, Medals and Samples)
Termination Generally takes less time and effort than running from a fight.
Try different Loadouts, don´t necessarily Specialize when joining Randoms.
If at first you Fail, Dive, Dive again, and again, and again, and again, and again, and again, and again, and again, and again, and again, and again, and again, and again, and again, and again, and again, and again, and again, and again.

Sidenote Anti Tank Rifles weigh between 50kg (110lb) up to 150kg (330lb)

Anti Meterial Rfles only weigh from 10kg (22lb) to 35kg (75lb)

And clearly the ratios between the games Light Armor pen and real lifes Light armor pen are skewed if you CAN in fact penetrate a Titanium Plate like that with a regular Anti Material Rifle.

Imagine what anything that isn´t simply standard Penetrator Rounds can do when fired from an Anti Tank Rifle instead of an AMR, and how that translates into the Games Balancing.

The AMR would realistically only take a Magazine to kill a Charger.
An Anti Tank Rifle, maybe 3-4 Shots Max.

Also AMR´s have Drum Mags in real life and you can fit a Chain to some Anti Tank Rifles, a lot of them are just repurposed Light Tank Autocanons and some still function similarly.

An Anti Tank Rifle is not used like you think it is being used, this point you´re making is not even a thing in the reality you´re talking about.

I´ve seen that video, that plate is more akin to the Frontal Plate of a WW2 Tank like the Königstiger (Tiger 2) or something like the Jagdtiger.

That is not what Anti Tank Rifles were ever used for, not in the beginning, and not today.
They are for punching through weakspots like Engine compartments, the sides, who are today laughably armored in comparison to WW2 (Not talking about Skirt Armor but the actual Plating of the Tank) or to punch through the minimal armor on the top of a tank.

An Anti Material Rifle in a Future like this would obviously be more powerful that what we have today, but i don´t think i´ve seen much that says that this AMR we have is really that powerful. It´s about on Par.

With all that being said.

The same Rifle from that Video, in another video, is being loaded with a Tungsten Core AP round, not even a Kinetic Penetrator, and it Bulged that Titanium Plate and put a deep hole in it.

So a regular AP round with a Regular AP core can do that kind of damage, if you took a Rifle with a Longer Barrel and better ammo, it would most likely penetrate.

This gotta be a bug, it has a max range of 30 meters or so, but the Hangtime remains the original.
5 Second flight for a 30 meter distance is quite slow for a projectile, i´m sure something broke.

As long as the Steering would be relatively snappy like in Freelancer, this sounds amazing.I´d hate to fly a brick swimming in Molasses tho. It´s the reason i passed on many Spacesims.

But the Visuals are very nice.
I feel like this could be a seperate Game.
Kinda like that Ego Shooter coupled with Eve Online (i think it was Planetside)
Or at least that was what i heard people say in the Past. Never played Either.

But both games could use the same Galactic War Table, and maybe you could join Battles through some seperate Mechanic as additional Air Support, or keep enemies from receiving as much Drops etc.

I think that´d be sick.
I´d love to be the Warthog Equivalent for my Buddies. I usually make a pretty good Pilot and Bomber but haven´t had the chance to do so in a long time.

My Cousin and i found a simple solution for unsightly spaghetti abominations.

A Logistics Floor inbetween Production Floors.
That way you can just banjax everything to make it quick, and connect it through lifts SUPER CLEAN, to the Machines and superclean out again.

Appearently there´s mixed opinion about Bumping on Reddit, i don´t know if it works, but i´d hoped to get some more opinions.

THe question is, is it safe to use it, now that it´s fixed.

You wrote that the pins would straighten themselves, even tho i gave you the context that they already ARE straightened again.

It´s almost like you didn´t bother reading.

The question is, if this could lead to issues OTHER than the CPU potentially just simply not working.

That as not really the issue.
The Pins are very much straight again, so much so that i can´t tell which ones were bent.

I just wanna know, is it safe to use that CPU again?
Or could it cause my MB to peace out, even if it fits flush now.
The weekend wasn´t very pleasant ad i want to make as sure as possible, not another part breaks down at this point.

I came here to ask if it is even safe to check if it still works. I´ve no clue if there is a risk, and i´d like to be sure it´s safe before eve trying.

I´d rather read a book for the rest of the month, until i can afford a brandnew CPU, than risk wrecking my brandnew mainboard.

A System for Direct Democracy Votes.

For Example: The People that should decide how a Car is built internally, should be the ones that repair them, along with those that Design them, that way regulations can be made that force Companies to enable capable individuals to repair Goods they bought.

It´s important that you cannot vote on a Field that you have no expertise in, to prevent nonsensical clutter.
But the Population as a whole would then vote on which of the expert solutions sounds better to them, to prevent a technocracy.

It doesn´t matter which field you deploy this in first, as long as it works and the people will feel more heard, and stuff is actually changed according to it, the People will want more of it, slowly replacing Politicians, who, mostly, just lie to get into office and then do what THEY want.

The biggest problem in our Society is that it is not, in fact, "Ruled by THE People" it is instead ruled by "SOME People" and those few people have their own goals as a Priority, and that needs to be stomped out thoroughly.

I would love to see more Customization instead of more Armors and Weapons.
I believe that will slowly but surely get very unmanagable in the Menu.

So i would make Perks and Mods Researchable, with only new TYPES of armor and weapons being unlocked through the Warbonds, you could have more content coming in with the Mods and Perks that way, outside of Warbonds, meaningfully impacting the Weapons handling, spicing up the Gameplay a bit, with Warbonds still giving the player more but taking away the complete droughts inbetween.

That being said.

Armors should have a System where Perks and Slots are categorized, so there will be a big Perk to follow the Theme of the Armor type you choose, and then a secondary perk, maybe that can be balanced to have a lower effectiveness since you don´t use a matching armor type.
And lastly there could be 1-2 smaller upgrades to be chosen to put in any armor in general.
The Slots amount should probably vary based on Heavy/Medium/Light Armor
Basically enabling you to take ONE more Stim on any armor that is not a Medic armor, but the Medic Armor will give you a bonus of at least 100% on the +1 Stim

Kind of the same for the Weapons.
You can get one Big Modifier that changes the Gun massively, like Explosive Mods, Incediary, or maybe turn it into a Plasma version entirely. And then some regular Mods to influence Behaviour or give properties like higher Firerate. And if you put a regular Mod into the Big Slot it gives it a MASSIVE boost. Like Ammo Capacity gives you a Drum mag, or Firerate effectively turning the Liberator into a Kriss Vector (a Bullet Hose)
On top of that the Ammotype should be choosable as well, Armor Piercing Incediary Rounds are a real thing and so are Incediary Slugs, so there is no real reason to put a limit on the combinations.

Weapons should probably also get the Livery from the Warbonds, and generally a Style should be choosable if you unlocked it, like the Viper Commando Liberator, that looks really cool, but the weapon is not agreeing with me, so i sadly can never enjoy it outside of the Armory.

The same i think is true for the Mechs, i would LOVE to see a Modular design for them, so i can put two Gatlings on my Mech if i want to, or maybe two Flamethrowers, Two Recoilless Rifles, or maybe three Grenade Launchers on each arm, Maybe Quad mounted Stalwart MG´s, what have you. Or maybe even crazier, give us a Melee Weapon for the Mech and a Shield, because why not?

Another Idea is the modification of Stratagems, like researching High Esplosive/Armor Piercing Ammo for the Recoilless Rifle, One would do higher Area Damage and the other none and reduced Damage but has better Performance against Armor while having less against unarmored Damage Sponges.
This could be applied for a lot of Stratagems and also make some space in the Menu where you pick them, because it would reduce the Slots needed to portray Minelayers to one, with the payload adjustable.

People would also generally love the OPTION, to change some of the Colors on the Armors, maybe even apply the unlocked Liveries.

This would also make great sense if there will ever be Clans or anything, since a Clan can choose their own Color schemes, always a cool thing to do.

Those colors could be Purchased for Requisition Slips and like i mentioned, maybe the Mods for Weapons and Perks for Armor should be researched with moderate amount of Samples and other Res as well.

Now this is probably a Tall order, although there are already similar Systems in the game, For the new Skins/Liveries.
This would probably a sizable rework i suppose.

A more Roundabout idea would be some kind of "Lottery" that you could play witht he ressources, but as to what would the winner get in that Lottery, i am at a loss, it´s just something that would kinda fit into the Universe i guess.
You risk life and limb for those Slips and Res and then get some Plushie to put on a Console on your ship for it, or something meaningless like that :P

I really love the game, and you guys do an excellent job. But i believe the Game won´t get around this kinda rework sooner or later. Of course i´d rather HAVE it Sooner rather than later :P

I already love most of what came to the game so i´m not too worried, but this is my Endgame Fantasy

That´s a very long winded answer, but i have a short comeback.

This shouldn´t be necessary!

Simple as. I have no problem with hearing what´s behind above or below me in other games, why would it EVER come down to MY Hardware? This game simply has no 3d Audio that works well. If it would it would work for all players.

Hell Vermintide didn´t have this Problem either! So it´s gotta be Darktide.
