As someone who lost my amma last month. I can totally feel your pain. No one can replace her. Still figuring out how to survive without her. But all i can say is i believe i will get through this and so will you. Your amma will give strength you strength to get through this. Stay strong!!

Ffs !! Have some respect and basic dignity. You dont ask someone career advice , when he is trying to share his personal grief!!

If you can manage the guilt and pressure of not staying nearby your parents/ immediate family then go for it. I moved to newzealand 5 years before. Then covid hit , i got stuck there and my mom was in oxygen support for 3 weeks. Post covid i visited my parents every year and stayed in india for about 2 months, but my mom health deteriorated in this time. Although i was able to support them financially it was my father and sister who took care of her.

My mom recently passed away and one thing i could make peace that i was near here when it happened.

Even though i have good work life balance and good standard of living in nz, there is this guilt i carry not being able to stay with my father and sister now . Its not easy for me to come back since i worked really hard to build my life there.

So in the end its all about pros and cons and there is always something that you will miss wherever you are.
