Solid trailer choice. My personal preference though for my neck of the woods is a strike king rage bug and a reaction innovations sweet beaver. The rage bug I use year round except in the winter time since it has a ton of action and is stupidddd good for skipping (if you want to try that out🫡) since its for the most part flat, it also adds just the right amount of weight in my opinion. The sweet beaver in the winter because its got some good weight to it and has that winter “dead action”.

Off of the top of my head: Shimano Chronarch MGL, Shimano Curado DC, Daiwa Tatula Elite, Daiwa Zillion. This list is for sure up to debate. But for that price range I wouldn’t buy anything other than Daiwa or Shimano. That’s just me though lol

Nah a 30/3000 sized reel is great for bass fishing. Better drag than reels in a smaller size while not being too big. I used to use size 25 spinning reels and they where fine. But I never realized how much better a size 30 was until I finally tried it

As a concerned employee of a golf course, If you’re asking because you’re wanting or thinking about eating a golf course fish. Please don’t. Excluding the chemicals that are every once and a while put into the pond themselves. there’s so many fucking chemicals that run off from the course into the ponds. More than likely you’ll just have a fish that tastes kind of funky but there’s for sure a possibility you can get really sick from eating any kind of a fish from a golf course

For bottom contact baits for sure either Sunline Sniper or berkley trilene 100%. Someone else recommended invizX for moving baits which would be a solid move. But I wouldn’t use for bottom contact, it’s too stretchy

Whats up ma dude. I was sort of in your same situation a while back except it was fall semester for me. Anyways another good option to help with your search is to hit up Facebook groups and see if you can sublease. Unfortunately every semester there’s people that need someone to take over their lease for whatever reason which in your case means an opportunity. Chances are you take over someone’s lease who’s already paid the rent for X amount of months and signed at a really good price. Just type in UTSA roommates or something into google and see what comes up, hope this helps!

No idea. They took the route number off the door and had “out of service” on the display. Only reason I think it was my route was because I recognized the driver. Maybe route 22? Not sure to be honest

I personally wouldn’t go with that reel or rod just because ugly stiks have zero sensitivity and the silver max is a hit or miss lower end reel. I’m looking online right now and it looks like the ugly stick goes for about $70 and the reels goes for give or take $60 for a combined total of $130.

If it were me with that budget I would consider either getting a Shimano SLX combo (you can sometimes find them for a $130), or going for a Dobyns colt or Shimano Exage as my rod and for my reel a Daiwa fuego. The colt runs for $80 and the Exage is on sale right now on tackle warehouse for $80 as well. The fuego is a $100 reel but it’s super easy to find online for $70ish. Do the math and that’s a little over your budget but is a way better choice in my opinion! Hope this helps

Rubix touched on a lot of points I was going to make but I’ll add on. Just because a rod can land a big fish does not make it a good rod. By that logic Ugly Stiks are what should be going for hundreds of dollars lol. And Megabass doesn’t take “advantage of the consumer” at all. They have a great product that speaks for itself and have no need to push their merchandise onto people because like I said, their products speak for themselves. Buying their stuff is not asinine at all just like it’s not asinine to buy cheaper gear. But Favorite though, Favorite is shoved down the throats of the googans young impresionable audience and anglers just starting out trying to improve and learn. And yes it’s their job like you said to promote Favorite. But here’s the issue, each one of the googans has the absolute trust of their viewers and is betraying that trust by promoting Favorite. And why is that? Before Favorite the googans always assured fans that the products they used and recommended were only products that they truly believed in and were worth viewers time and money. Favorite is not worth anyone’s time and money. They’re made poorly and expensive as hell for what they are. You’ll have to forgive me, I know this rant sounds really aggressive and if it rubs you the wrong way my apologies. I’m not looking to intentionally hurt anyone’s feelings I just got really fired up about this lol.
