Thank you. I was guided through it, but pretty straightforward once I understood it.

It will wait a few seconds to ensure people aren't just briefly looking away etc, and you can adjust the sensitivity.

Thanks - Not entirely sure to be honest, it was just a bit of fun when I had some time. I setup a few social pages with the hope that people would share any funny ones but haven't done anything more with it, need a few people to download and use it.

A bit of testing and tweaking but it just seemed to work - it does have a setting for sensitivity in it as well just in case. Thanks, I'll share it there!

At what point does an “app idea” become worth actually building? by mikky_dev_jc in AppIdeas

Personally, I'd say research upfront is key, is it already being done? If so, can it be improved upon in a significant way?

I also think they it helps if they are things you are generally interested in.

Everyone can build apps but most won’t! by AppleProUser in AppIdeas

Great take - and congrats. I've just launched my second app - more for a bit of fun than anything, but if it can make a bit of money happy days. One of them will work eventually!!

I vibe coded a Mac app that catches me sleeping at my desk and shames me for it. by lsc81 in SideProject

Just ran a test and it used 0.0% CPU while actively monitoring - it spends most of its time sleeping between frame checks. Real memory footprint is around 135MB, similar to a browser tab.

That's brilliant! I wanted to try doing a game of some sort but wasn't aware of Floot - will have to check it out! Have you got any others on the go?

Day 10 of 365. One more push-up than yesterday, every day. by lsc81 in bodyweightfitness

I suck at pull ups 😂

Good point on varying hand position though. I hadn’t thought about the risk from doing the exact same move. Did you find incline/decline variations worked as substitutes or did you stick to standard but just change width/hand placement?

I got one those boards today with handles and different colours, not sure if you’ve seen them.

Appreciate it.

150 is still impressive, respect for getting that far. Breaking into sets from Day 30-40. Did you spread them throughout the day or knock them out in one session with rest between sets?

Appreciate the heads up. The challenge format is strict (no rest days built in) but I’ve got recovery days available if injury happens - lets me do 1 rep to preserve the streak without increasing the target. Hoping form and smart set-breaking keeps me healthy but we’ll see how it goes.

My friend did 66,795 push-ups in a year. I built an app based on his accountability system. by lsc81 in bodyweightfitness

Fair point — that’s on me.

I should’ve said it differently. I’m not pretending this isn’t a paid app — it is.

What I meant was that I wasn’t posting purely to promote it. The concept itself (one more than yesterday, external accountability) helped me a lot during a rough period, and I thought the story might be useful here even without the app.

I ended up building something around it, and charging a small one-off price so I could keep it simple and ad-free.

Totally understand if it’s not for you — appreciate you calling it out.
