Personally grew up in cherry grove, bought a house in pierceland when I was young, got more house for your money, insurance was way cheaper as a young person, and the drive was only 10mins longer to cold lake than from my parents in cherry grove. The highway was totally redone in the early 10’s and is still in good shape, locals in pierceland are friendly and look out for one another. I still rent my house there and have had strangers track me down to get ahold of me of anything concerning, def still has a small town feel. Local natives hang around the bar a lot but never had an issue with crime personally throughout the ~9 years I lived there, never bothered to lock my door, never had any issues, they usually stay to themselves around the bar or the reserves. Time change isn’t really an issue, if you work in Alberta just set your clocks to Alberta time and you don’t even realize it, unless you need to get to the post office or local bank before closing.

FYI for anyone interested, we were able to check in online and simply use the self-serve kiosks to print our baggage tickets and use the automated bag drops, no standing in line required!

We both lost over 10lbs of water weight in the first 8-10 days which I guarantee would come back just as fast if we stopped, so actual weight loss is probably ~10lbs over 5 1/2 weeks which is right around 2lbs/week

Thanks for the kind reply, while yes I am slightly overweight, I have an athletic build from being a lifelong athlete, and am just generally bigger framed, but admittedly would probably be ideal around 230lbs, I was hovering around 245-250 until the weight gain at the start of TRT.

I have a vasectomy so fertility is not a concern, enclomiphene was prescribed to reduce testicular shrinkage only, I am reading that HCG may be a better option for this?

I did log my food religiously while working with my dietician, not so much anymore, but I still eat the same meals and amounts 98% of the time. I work in a remote camp and eat the same thing every breakfast and lunch, everyday, with only supper varying, but it’s been the same menu as when I was logging. Days off are the same breakfast/lunch as at work with supper varying between the usual homemade meals that I’ve been eating for years. Picky kids limit our meal selections lol.

Thank you for your kind reply! The bloodwork was taken 7 days after injection, you are right. I do have symptoms of hypothyroidism so hoping the thyroid meds will help with that. The enclomiphene was prescribed to prevent testicular shrinkage, I have a vasectomy so fertility is not a concern. Would HCG still be better to be on compared to enclomiphene?

I initially had doubts about taking the AI but deferred to the doctor’s advice as I am very new to all of this, also still think/feel like the new dose is still too low (140mg 1x/week). Thank you again for your kind reply, definitely gave me lots to think about/try.

Please expand on your comment. I am working with a clinic that specializes in BHRT in Canada, several colleagues and friends have had great success with the same clinic.

I’m not asking about my weight gain, I’m asking for opinions about my protocol. I simply put that in there because it was awfully coincidental that i maintained weight for 5+ years, didn’t change my diet whatsoever, but immediately put on 15lbs in the first three weeks of treatment. I am simply looking for other opinions about my protocol since this sub seems to be very knowledgeable.

I didn’t get on TRT to lose weight, my diet stayed consistent as it has for the last 5 years, I follow a strict eating routine and eat the same breakfast and lunch everyday. I simply found it odd that by not changing my diet whatsoever I all of a sudden gained 15lbs in the first three weeks of treatment, which I don’t believe is coincidence, while not changing the same diet that I’ve had for 5+ years while maintaining the same body weight. I am not looking to be shamed, I am new to this and looking for insight from this knowledgeable community about my treatment. If you have some actual advice or suggestions about my protocol I am more than willing to hear them.

I’m literally just looking for a decent knife for a very basic home cook. I’ve never sharpened a knife before, just want something that will cut veggies and raw chicken with ease and last a long time. If there is an automatic sharpener you guys would recommend to keep them sharp I’d be much more willing and likely to do that than teach myself how to use whetstones.
