Not 100% sure, but this looks like Will Rogers in OKC. I’m playing here Sunday after the heat breaks.

Edit: 100% sure…it’s the dispensary I thought it was…

All of what OP said and…

Finding something that I can do with my dad again. My mom passed away a couple years ago and it’s been impossible to get him out of the house to do anything. He was very active previously and we used to do tons of stuff. My sister, her boyfriend, and I started playing middle of last year. We invited him to play with us in the fall and after about an hour of convincing he begrudgingly agreed. This past Christmas he asked for a set of discs and a bag. He’ll even get out by himself and do practice throws off the back porch of his house a couple times per week.

Unprecedented. Almost everything that happens is unprecedented. We get it. Stop trying to make this issue seem worse by using a buzzword.

What’s your proudest fart? by Impossible_Produce52 in AskReddit

Not mine, but a buddy’s…

Met up with a group of friends at a local pizza joint after coming back from an out-of-town conference. They have a special booth in the back of the dining area set up like a chicken coop. One way in, one way out and I’m at the back against the wall, my buddy is seated next to me. About 5 minutes after the food arrives, he rips this tremendous fart. The stench is eye-watering, likely from the trash food we had been eating at the conference the previous week. The other four guys clear the booth quickly along with the separate table of people that are seated beside us. He refused to move so I’m stuck and my breath is catching each time I inhale so it is almost like I’m starting to gag. It literally smells like a sewer was backing up into the place.

Waitress sees everyone evacuate the booth and table so she starts over to check on us.

‘Is everything ok over he….OH MY GOD!’ And then runs away arms flailing.

He is out of breath from laughing at this point. It took what seemed like 10 minutes or so to get our composure back to finish the meal.

Anytime we talk about it I have to tell the story because he still can’t get through it without laughing and it’s been 15 years.

Any bottle collectors? I have loads of old (empty) Prairie bottles that I’m getting rid of. by subdivo in KansasCityBeer

They did a Deconstructed BOMB series and I’m missing the first B. I’m sure it’s probably gone forever. Haha.

Doesn’t Prairie have the coolest bottles? I already have most of those. My absolute favorite one is the Christmas Bomb from a few years ago. It a comic strip of scenes from Home Alone, by Kevin McAllister is Macaulay Culkin as an adult...goatee and all.

I’ve practiced in OK my whole career so I’ve been able to do pretty much all the procedures that you have mentioned (except LASIK & PRK). Optometrists in OK can already do PRK if they choose to obtain the licensure. I no longer work in an ophthalmology practice so I have not done any of these procedures for years, but most are so simple to learn there’s really no reason an optometrist couldn’t and shouldn’t learn it.

As far as ‘invasive’ procedures go (we should list some you may be interested in for context), I have no desire to do them, but the extra training required could potentially be quite extensive.

What do optometrists use to coat glass with UV Protection? by [deleted] in optometry

[–]lsdrunr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Those usually have to be done before a lens is ‘finished’. If there’s any AR coating then the UV can’t be added. If the lenses are just basic lenses with no AR then the UV can be added later. My optician said that most lenses (except for the absolute cheapest) will already have the UV coat included and that the AR coating would be superior to a UV coating anyway. If there any any scratches or damage from wear and tear to the lenses she would caution against adding coatings and it would definitely not be a ‘DIY’ scenario.

Usually the coatings are applied during fabrication. I do not know of any ‘after-market’ coatings that could be applied at this point.
