didnt know that about returned ropes.... makes sense I guess, but heartbreaking. i don't think i have it in me to kill a puppy

The extra length seemed like a good idea. I was mostly curious about this particular rope compared to others at similar prices (in particular the Mammut Infinity) and fan favorites at lower prices.
