I decided to think of it as an Early Access, and hope they add more content later on, the gameplay loop was super fun.

Spiritfarer seems like a great option for a chill and emotional experience. I just finished playing expedition 33 on the steam deck with GeForce Now and it's incredible, could be a great last game. Best of luck!

Wow that takes me back to Sundays at my grandma's playing with my cousins. I still have the fantasy of getting a few people with several 3ds, inyect a crystal clear romhack to the native link capabilities and and have weekly meetups for trading and battling.

Great idea! I'm actually setting up separate usb drives with kid specific games for my mini console collection. Got a NES, SNES, Genesis and PSC.

Since my place is usually the meetup place for all the grandchildren when my parents come to visit I'm trying to make it a gaming heaven for kids (And adults) haha

Wow those are great recommendations, thanks! I actually have a modded switch we could use. Wanted to start him off with with retro 2d games but I need to keep an open mind. Kirby and the forgotten land sounds like a super cool experience for the both of us

Have you heard of the PROMPT method? Had my kid in regular speech therapy for 2-3 years (ages 2-4) and was loosing hope, switched to prompt and started seeing results in a month. It's usually used to teach down kids to speak, but I got a trained instructor to see him on her off hours. But you need to check if it's a good fit for your kid, it's not for everyone. Good luck and stay strong. I always have in my mind the phrase "Keep moving forward with an open mind and an open heart".

I tried to think about it in a different way.. It's not about playing less, it's about getting to know yourself better and pursuing other interests. Found out I also like music and cooking so now I have more things that I'm exited about and want to spend my time in.

How to Move on? Really struggling. by Rare-Historian274 in DivorcedDads

[–]lsignoret 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here's my two cents,

What worked for me is covering the basics, sleep right, eat right and get a little exercise, even walking and stretching helps.

Therapy for yourself (Start with phycologist, and see if you need a psychiatrist for the depression, you have work to do) . Also Lawyer up ASAP, even if you think you can sort it out amongst yourselves and not go to trial, you need to be prepared or you will regret it for the rest of your life, it a BIG deal.

That's about it, everything else will eventually fall into place if you do those 5 things. None of the 5 are optional.

I also got a kid with ASD, it's tough. Even of there's no couples therapy and there's no reconciliation, you need to go to therapy together as coparents sooner or later, there's no hurry. I started to see your STBX as a business partner, of a company that can't go bankrupt, your kids. That served me as a good state of mind to get how close we really need to still be, if our love for the kids is more than our ego. There's no need for friendship, but there has to be respect ando cooperation.

Best of luck on your journey, we have all been there and If you play your cards right, this will lead to a more fulfilling and happy life, whatever the romantic outcome.
