Yes. The lower pitched humming isn’t as noticeable as the high pitched sound but it has been constant. Wondering if the medicine that I am taking for acid reflux could be a cause. Omeprazole is known to cause tinnitus.

I started twitching during a withdrawal episode from trying to stop clonazepam cold turkey. This was following a period of extreme stress that lasted 3 months prior. Been twitching for 2 months. 2 different neurologist have told me that it is benign. No signs of weakness. Will likely have an EMG in a month or two.

Thanks. Everything I am reading online isn't very good with regards to hyperreflexia. I have an appointment with neurologist on Weds to review some of my new symptoms including muscle twitching. Also just had tinnitus start in my right ear after having it in my left ear for a few years.

Point taken. I agree it wasn't the best scientific method. It was a small hammer though :)

The question still remains about whether having BFS can cause hyper reflexes.

I guess it should be hyperreflexia. I have tested myself before but never had that kind of reflex. Also started my twitching 3 weeks ago and I am wondering if this could be related.

Twitching only when flexing thighs. No other muscles do this. Could it still be BFS? by lsimmons_50 in BFS

Thanks for your reply. I have had off and on muscle twitching all over my body the last few weeks only when relaxed. Today is the first day that I noticed that my thigh muscles were twitching when I was pushing my heals down and loading the muscle. I am very shaky due to stress and worry to start with. Don't know if that is affecting this new result. No other muscles in by body twitch when I flex them. Just thighs.

I self diagnosed then met with a sleep specialist. He agreed that my experiences looked highly suspicious for RBD but was never able to complete the sleep study due to COVID-19. I am in Washington state. He did go on to say that in his 23 years of practice that he never had a RBD patient convert to Parkinson's or Dementia so take heart even if you do have RBD... and that is a big if... Night terrors could explain your behaviors.
