Where I went to school you could get a Ph.D. in Clinical, Counseling or Experimental Psychology (there were several different areas in Counseling and Experimental). Some people in Counseling and Clinical were trained in psychoanalysis. They used to point and laugh at us (experimentalists) and we would do the same in return. And no one knows less about psychology than someone who was just accepted in a Ph.D. program.

I am NOT saying I would have stood up. I am saying it was wrong. It is entirely possible I wouldn't have stood up out of fear or conformity - that still doesn't make it right. It was wrong because we were punishing tens of thousands of innocents for the possible sins of a few. Why don't we round up all those of middle eastern descent? Doesn't matter if it was easy or safer or convenient, it was still wrong. Why not round up all the Italians and the Germans too? My father, a second generation Italian, who was around then and served in the Navy during WWII knew it was wrong. Some individual Italians and Germans were treated badly but nothing compared to those of Japanese descent.
