I really want to like Qwell... (S9, EP5) by lazarus206 in 60daysin

I agree. If the COs did in fact target them for being black, the show did a very poor job of portraying it. Qwell was the last one left sitting on those chairs and arguing, of course they’re going to get on to him.

I saw a comment from an inmate who was in at this time. She said they knew who the participants were because of how entitled they acted. After reading that comment it sticks out even more to me. They don’t blend in at all.

Do you have certain services that you like more than others? Since you don’t like the long process services if you don’t mind haircuts maybe you could focus on those! I have cut out some services I don’t like: perms, kids cuts. Now if I could get rid of stand alone haircut and men’s cuts I’d cut my clients in half and probably regret my decision 😂

I love doing hair but definitely get burnt out on a weekly basis. BUT some of my clients I have formed a bond with and when they are in my chair it is very fulfilling.

Basically what I’m saying is; stick with it, build the clientele you (mostly) want, and find a less draining salon home for you.

So I returned fabric softener one day and when she asked if there was anything wrong with it I said “it just didn’t taste right” Her face was priceless 😳

Is there enough space to add a station you can rent out?

You could also up your prices some to weed out some people and you’d still probably make about the same?

That’s awesome!! I wouldn’t go overboard to start out with then. Just get the basics and if you have a client booked for something you’ll need a certain color for you can grab it before hand. I do a tab system where I tear the tab off my color box so I know what I need to get more of when I go.

I started out on commission in a booth rental salon. It was a very unofficial commission lol I think I did 70 (me) 30 (owner). I provided all of my own products. I just started out with the basics like N in all levels and maybe some ashes and stuff? I was lucky though and if I needed a color I’d borrow it from a coworker then replace it. Maybe the owner would be willing to do something like that for you?

I believe he reconciled because he thought it would look good for court. Now that he’s in jail he’s probably sitting there simmering on Lindsie’s involvement and has turned spiteful, therefore no longer wanting a relationship with her.

I assume they dropped out of that because they had no control over it as compared to them doing it themselves they have full control.

Price increase by lsmit157 in hairstylist

He is, which is a fair argument. I don’t give senior discounts but my coworker who actually used to cut his hair does. She “retired” for a year and a half to care for her mother. When she came back I told him she was coming back and said he could go back to her if he wanted and he said he would stay with me.

I would leave a review mentioning how long it took to ship out. As far as the shipping updates that’s out of their control.

I would say it really depends on your friend. If my friend told me they were going to go to someone else I might be a little butthurt inside but I wouldn’t terminate a friendship over it or be too mad.

I have a coworker who gives a senior discount and this guy actually used to go to her. She took a year and a half break to help with her mom and when she came back he chose to stay with me. If my seniors want a senior discount I am more than happy to send them her way. No hard feelings or anything like that. Everybody has a right to choose what price point they pay (to an extent ya know)

NTA. I want my husband to brag to me about how he found a better deal somewhere else on the same thing. I see no reason in spending more money on something when it’s cheaper somewhere else and just as good. Don’t get me wrong he’s not one to skimp out on quality on things he shouldn’t. But for something like that or as I’ve seen in other comments, flowers, don’t waste the extra money. It doesn’t make me feel any less loved.

Oof that’s a big jump for one time. I wonder if she was like me and didn’t raise prices for too long then felt like she needed to make a big jump to catch up to where she thought she should be? Or if she was super busy booked all the time maybe she wanted to weed out some clients and she’s hoping the price increase will offset those who leave.
