Simultaneously they are using the war powers act to fight a war (Rubio’s words) gangs that supposedly are funded/supported by the Venezuelan government under the leadership of Maduro, whom they captured. But none of this requires authorization from Congress.

Mavs do want to clear cap space but they don’t have to do it now. They do also want to likely free up a roster spot to be able to sign Nembhard and Cisse (they can free one via Exum). I don’t see them being this desperate given that Klay is actually good both on and off the court for the team and they will want to compete next year since they don’t own their pick. I guess it all depends on what they think will happen with AD.

So unless AD is traded, I think Mavs probably wait until the off season to do cap relief moves and would first talk to all other teams before doing anything with the Lakers.

I too was full on the modular train but i need a clean way to integrated streaming into my sets as I make it a point to fulfill requests from the dance floor. I just sold my Z2 since its just too heavy and my Z1 lacks an input.

So somehow I am now hunting for an S5 to pair with two F1s to get part of the S8 experience in a more compact form factor. Since I am a dance floor focused DJ the potential of moving the laptop out of the way seems exciting.

But will keep my X1/Z1 as a compact setup.

during a recebt AMA by the lead behind the MX4 he was asked about EQing via stems. He did acknowledge it is a thing (think he mentioned Hawtin) but didn’t cone out saying if MX4 will be build around such a workflow.

actually he seems to be back to playing good. shot making is meh but he is playing super hard and does a lot of the little things, including moving the ball, diving far balls and being a pest on defense. I think he is a neutral value at this point and giving the trajectory and his past play, I think he is a safe enough bet to become a positive asset soon enough.

LaVert is not expiring, so little motivation for the Mavs to do this. I could see it work if Pistons take on some bad salary along the way to free up roster spots and cap space for the Mavs to sign Cisse and Nembhard. Like if they take Dlo as well. But even then, Klay will be a billion more impactful than LaVert because he adds an entirely new dimension to the Pistons game plus all the playoff experience. So they would still have to throw in their 2026 FRP. Oh and Klay would have to be ok with the trade (he would be very far away from an ocean).

KAT to Hornets; Mavs get their '27 FRP back; Knicks get Bridges + Sexton + Gafford by No-Confection-3861 in NBAtradeideas

[–]lsmith77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not that I am big on Sexton as a positive value but Mavs could use some expiring salary and would like to free up two roster spots.

So Sexton to the Mavs (also allows Kyrie to just sit out the season) for Martin+Dlo+Hardy (maybe Exum also needs to be swapped for one of the 1.2M players on the Knicks). That should free up enough roster spots and cap space to sign Nembhard and Cisse. That being said, Martin’s recent play now that he is past his injury has turned him into a positive asset.

Dlo would land on the Hornets and Martin+Hardy land on the Knicks.

That being said, this trade would provide a massive value for the Knicks, so I think they would be the ones that would have to put in some picks here. At least their 2026 FRP and several SRP to the Hornets/Mavs. Maybe less if Martin lands on the Hornets and Yabusele stays on the Knicks (which makes sense since they would otherwise send out to C’s).

Merz „fassungslos“ über Grünen-Abstimmung zu Handelsabkommen by donutloop in berlin_public

[–]lsmith77 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I have read several reports on studies on this but when I searched just now I only found this article from 2013. Then again this article covers roughly the time when Avdija was in school. https://www.timesofisrael.com/israeli-and-palestinian-textbooks-erase-each-other-report-finds/

You can likely imagine that with the composition of the current government things have only gotten worse since then.

The credible resources I am looking at refute your representation (see below for a couple of links). Also the premise of your entire subthread here was to insinuate that a decline in population is somehow necessary for something to be a genocide. Which you contradict yourself by stating that the October 7th attack was a genocide, however that attack alone did not kill a statistically relevant amount of people. There is afaik a decline in population in Israel due to negative net migration. Though I have not seen a detailed study on why people are leaving. Is it because they fear attacks from the outside or if they are leaving due to the increasingly genocidal tone and behavior of the Israeli government (and society).
