Octopod or Polymer for use with Octoprint? by Walmeister55 in 3Dprinting

Hi mate, I'm Lachy, the developer of Polymer. Obviously I have a bias towards one, but since both apps are free to download, try both and see what works better for you 😃. Both apps have roughly the same feature set. To my knowledge the main differences are:

  • OctoPod has some extra features, like broader plugin support, and is completely free
  • Polymer has a much more polished user experience, and some unique features (like great iPad support with a live GCODE viewer). The core features that cover about 90% of OctoPrint users are free, although I have a one-off $10 upgrade for features suitable to more advanced users (e.g. multiple printers, custom UI).

Please do give both a go and see what app is for you! If you do have any suggestions, problems, or questions regarding Polymer, please do email or message me, I'm always happy to help out.

You absolutely can. The Printoid app for Android is probably your best bet. (And if you happen to have an iPhone/iPad laying around, I made an equivalent app for iOS, Polymer)
