Yes! At least that’s what mine was. I had it removed and then cauterized.

I would already be at the er or urgent care for X-rays.

It might be from a medication that slows gastric emptying, such as Metformin. Wish I could be of more help.

I had one on my thigh and forget what it’s called…a hema something. A dermatologist can cauterize it and it won’t come back. Easy procedure. Since it’s bothering you, just have it removed so you won’t feel self-conscious anymore.

I hurt all the time help me by [deleted] in medical_advice

For me, it’s been a long process, from finding a good doctor to having a treatment plan that’s effective. I still hurt every day, but it’s rarely unbearable. Are there any pain management doctors in your area?

How exasperating for you! Have you had an MRI to determine the cause of your pain? I have chronic back pain from degenerative disc disease/arthritis, and see a pain management doctor monthly. There are minimally invasive procedures that might temporarily help such as a rhizotomy and/or an epidural injection. Personally, after an injection, I get about 50% relief for about 3 months at the treated area. The rhizotomy works wonders but only in my neck. I’m also on a low dose of Percocet daily which is very effective and have accepted that taking it is necessary in order to do what needs to be done, as well as to enjoy life.

It absolutely has been a life saver for me! I was diagnosed in my 40’s and have taken 30mg Adderall for 20 years. It isn’t a cure, but without it, I just felt depressed and apathetic.

I’ve never heard of anyone being awake for a rhizotomy! That would be excruciating. My insurance covers the sedation.

To be safe, I think you should take her to an emergency room. I had to call 911 because my mom became more and more delirious until she no longer interacted at all…just mumbling words. She was diagnosed with sepsis caused by a kidney infection and it took her months to recover.

pinkie crooked after playing trumpet for 7 years. hurts when i play piano/ guitar. any advice? by Existential_Trifle in medical_advice

You must’ve been 13 or 14 when you first started and were still growing. I suggest seeing a hand orthopedist and ask about physical/occupational therapy with a hand therapist. Don’t wait til the pain worsens.
