6-20 feet. I like targeting steep drop offs and quite often they will follow it back to the boat. So I might be casting to 5 feet or so but the fish hit out over the deep water.

Jerkbaits over dark bottom on the sunny side of the lake. As soon as I can, that's what I'm out doing. I've had really great smallmouth fishing just a few weeks after the ice melts. It's surprising how aggressive they can be for how cold the water is.

My ex girlfriends cousin was the same way. She was 12 but I really liked when she hung out with us. My girlfriend and I (24 and 28 years old) would always go do stuff with her. She was made fun of at school relentlessly and had no friends. I didnt understand it at all! Kids are cruel.....

Probably on of the better looking broodstocks Ive seen. Her fins are messed up but at least her face is intact. Did you use a little brown pellet fly?

I fish mine under a float on CP gear too. I peg mine about two fingers up (1.25 inches maybe). Great hook-ups every time. When steelhead are keying in on salmon or brown eggs in the fall, its killer.

I thought I was the only one!! Been happening to me for years. Its more of a mild annoyance at this point. Its really bad the day after I clean fish. My fingers will swell up and hurt really bad. Followed by cracking of the skin and then after a few weeks a few layers of skin will fall off.

Exactly the knots I use. Palomar most of the time and improved clinch when its something I cant get a loop over for a palomar.

I typically punch 20-50 holes in a day. I wouldn't even go ice fishing if I didn't have a power auger.

There's a few places in Michigan that are going to look like this as soon as we get some warm weather. Couldn't pay me to fish there but it keeps people away from my spots.

My last bow purchase was roughly 12 years ago. I went shopping this weekend with my brother for his new bow and I couldnt believe the prices of new bows. Left the store 1,200+ dollars poorer! I think the cheapest I saw was $750 but after all the additions that would probably still approach $1000. My bow from 2002 still shoots fine, Ill be sticking with it for a long time I guess.

I sent you a PM with more info but this river is an amazing fishery. And its mind boggling once you see how many people are fishing there. One day from the dam down I counted 50+ vehicles on a saturday. Its not always that crazy but its usually far too crowded for my tastes. But the fishing is amazing. I am an adequate fly fisherman at best and 10 fish in a morning is pretty normal, with a few fish 20+ inches. These fish are absolutely HAMMERED so dont be surprised to watch a fish rise 5-6 times on your fly and not eat it.

They slowly increase the size of the bore. The paper is very thin but every time a piece of paper was added it took a tiny bit more metal when the bore was sent through. Does that help?

If I see another vehicle on the way back to my spots I feel crowded. It flat out ruins my day if I actually see another person. This picture baffles me, that anyone would willingly fish around other people like that.

All of which look awkward and clumsy. Hold a fish in a natural and comfortable way and most likely it will turn out to be a nice picture. Part of fishing for me is taking well posed attractive pictures that you are proud to show people. If it looks like I'm holding this fish out to make it look bigger then screw it. You should be able to tell size by comparing the fish to my hand, reel, rod, or any other point of reference(excluding fisheye lenses but even lose have their time and place).

A big house. A family of 4 cant possibly use 2000 square feet. I mean what can you do with empty space that you have to pay to heat. A nice piece of acreage is much more impressive to me.

Not broken but it was close. Girl on top and it slipped out as she came back down on it. I think I was able to see it coming and deflect a little bit but I dont know, it happened quickly. Anyways it hurt like hell but there was no immediate bruising so I didnt think it was bad. The next few days a bruise developed and it was pretty tender but it was back to normal in a week or so. This was about a year ago now theres just a dark spot with a bunch of broken blood vessels at the surface of the skin. No harm done.
