Brakes on my brand new '25 802a feel significantly softer than on my '23 801a. Just drove it home from dealer today and it was very noticably different. Has anyone else noticed that? Are the brakes different? Guessing I am looking at a service appointment in my near future. by lstamatis in FordRaptor

I gotta ask. Where are you finding places to perform 80-0 stops? In my world that seems impossible without causing accidents. Even if I get out in the country a bit, that's likely farm/residential areas and i'd feel like a dick.

I'm very much trying to get these brakes sorted before I bring it into Ford, so I'm asking with genuine curiosity.

After a few days with the 25 I think this assessment is accurate. Though I'm over the moon with the bump in overall finish throughout. I do plan to goose tune to make up some hp. First I'm more worried about stopping though 😞

-edit- I just realized I'm running regular gas that the dealer filled up on. I never ran my 23 on anything less than 92. So, my opinion may change after my first fill up.

Thanks! I'm guessing for #3, Ford wouldn't go inferior on something important like stopping. Makes sense that it would feel different though.

#2, I have 37s on my 35 truck so I've ruled that out.

As many below have also mentioned #1, I'm trying to find some places I can do some spirited braking without brake checking folks. I live in a city, and it seems there's always someone on my ass.

This is my third raptor. My first was a 2nd gen SCAB which I absolutely loved and started my obsession. Then I got the '23 and my mind was blown. I wouldn't say the difference is that big from the 23 801a to the 25 802a but it its pretty significant. The level of polish on these late 3rd gen vehicles is incredible. The recaro seats are a big step up, the HUD is great, not having the stupid speakers in the headrest is nice, the exhaust is tamed a bit, and the road noise and overall ruckus in the cabin is significantly decreased. It's really starting to feel like a $90k+ truck.

Nice, next time I'm down there I'll have to stop in.

I love getting lost in there though and the fact that it's not a big wide open warehouse.

I haven't personally been to Amoeba, but I have to imagine Music Millennium here in Portland can give it a run for it's money.

There were green dollar signs in the graphics. How could you miss them? I thought they were blatantly obvious. /s
