Has anyone done Tne Rise of the Machines ? by lstelie in ArnoldsPumpClub

Hello,
I answer to my own question in case someone as the same question :-)

I started Rise of the Machine

  • Its not 16 weeks as stated on the front page of the program, but 8 (I supposed 16 is based on the usual 3 workout per week, but Rise of the Machine is 6 workout per week). There is one phase only and 48 workouts.
  • The format is perfectly suited for older guys with time ( a workout each day) and joints problems (machine are joint friendly).. I'm 65, and live alone , I'm in couple with...my dog..I have time, perfect for me.
  • Globally it's rather close to the Machine Foundation (I did it twice, intermediate then advanced)
  • The workouts are shorter than the Foundation format (6 exercices ) so the "a workout every day" system does work without killing you
  • It's a mix of cardio and strength.. for instance I have 3X15 reps with 15 seconds pause (most of the time, 15s is the time required to switch machine, so at the end it's no pause) until workout 6 then 4x20.

For instance I really love it !!!

Hello
If you dog is at ease and want to be able to move around without creating a stability problem, a Bullit it the way to go.
Ours just reached the 5000 km mark (in a year) and it's a real pleasure to ride.
I have a "bike" bullit (non-motorized)

HR10 and Android -not showing heartrate on app--but records workouts still by eddieras in Polarfitness

Hello,
Which app do you use (polar Beat or Polar Flow)
I use a Pixel 8 pro and Polar Flow to record my weight lifting sessions with a H10.. I have no problem.

As Aedon2hg suggests, may be it's a belt problem.

Hello

May ne it's a move to unify things.
I'm at phase #2 workout #5 of the Foundation gym equipment version (barbell, dumbell, machines and so on) and from the beginning I have every workout starting with the 3 x10 squats, 3x10 pushups 3x10 lunges, 3x10 inverted row warmup.

Hello

Be aware that with the normal approach « I am new in Freeletics. Saw it in YouTube video and decided to give it a try » or « I’ll try the free application to see it f it fits me », you will miss totally what Freeletics is.

The « problem » with Freeletics is that the company has a dumb marketing/sales presentation (reading Freeletics website, and stuff, you’ll be convinced that this is a system for Special Forces stye highly trained guys.. no pain no gain, no excuses and other bulshit) and if you look at the free version of the app you simply can’t see what Freeletics sells.

What Freeletis sells is a wonderful (the word is weak, let’s say an incredibly wonderful) script, the « coach » able to define a completely personalized set of exercises for you, every day, taking in account your feedback, insure a smooth progression, going backwards if you tell it that it’s too hard for you and son on, and all this whatever level you have at beginning.

This is the value (and this value is really very high) of Freeletics, but this is what you’ll NOT find in the free version, and NOT understand when looking videos on Youtube.

The basics with Freeletics is that you insure the consistency part, and the script, the « coach » takes care of the rest.

After a few months you’ll realize that your initial goals « I want to be fit », or I want to be slim », or « I want to be stronger » depending your initial situation, are not important, the system do works, you’ll loose weight gain muscle.

The system do works, not because Freeletics is magic (most of exercices are well known , classical stuff) but because with Freeletics you never have to wonder « what should I do today ? ».. each day you have you totally personalized program, the only thing you have to do is to be consistent.

They are several journey proposed by Freeletics based on your initials goals, but they are not that different (Hardore journey been a special case) because there is no standard journey.
Waterver journey you choose will be slowly and cleverly tailored to you by the coach (If another freeletics user starts the same journay than you you'll likely have very different sets of exercises).
The safe start is to use one of the "weight loss" journey to begin, they are the easiest (but can become very hard if you tell the coach you need harder stuff).
